Your images are not bad at all, but you are making them so harsh with way too much contrast. For instance, on your flowers, the center detail of the flowers are completely blown out by being too bright. On the lake shot (very nice) you have lost all the detail in the shadows because it is too dark. You have the potential to do really well, but these things are spoiling the image. I'm sure you'd rather hear a gushing review, but that will not help you improve and since you have a good base to work from, I offer this constructive criticism.
I like Flickr, too and have a site under this name there.

I've heard this self promotion is not allowed on this site, but it's so late, not much is really going on. Also, it would make things easier if you posted a hyperlink.
I was sort of surprised with the images on your page. The first image of the flowers was very great, and the second was good too. The one of the cat seemed just a tad blurry, and the last one of the car seemed too dark. Though, it had a good angle.
