I spot an interesting question lead -- then when I open it to respond there is nothing else -- no details or it doesn't make enough sense to answer. This is a complete waste of time for those of us that really enjoy answering questions. People are leaving out info that is absolutely necessary to be able to answer. Example: Take this question for example -- What if I wrote "Why do you people do this?" and then I didn't write any follow up. You would have no idea what "THIS" is. It is so annoying that people take the time to pose a questions but don't give any relevant details. Please don't do this!!!! I don't even care if the rest of it is totally stupid -- just give all the details!!!! Thank you for my rant. I'm guessing that the people who are guilty of this won't be the ones answering this. Give it all up question-makers!!!

Well I think it's best to answer like with like - if the question is a brief statement with a point, I'll try to make my answer the same. I don't usually answer anything that doesn't really make a point. If the question is detailed and interesting, and really poses a problem or raises an issue, then I'm prepared to give it my full attention and the benefit of my wisdom and maturity. I can see that you are similar in intention. I do find many of the questions on here rather pointless in that they just don't lead anywhere and therefore are not worthy of my pithy comment..........is that all you need to hear??

I agree, they're like the black holes of the Answer Forum, everything gets sucked in, but nothing ever gets out.

There are very few questions like that and I think most of us prefer to see the funny side and give some witty answer!
Example: "What if I wrote...?" Could have been answered...
Ans: "What if I wrote that it is rude to post incomplete questions?"
You could have sent the offender your message!!!

the same thing happen to me.i was in your place. i hate it and sometimes people are stupid and i think its dumb because thats a waist of time if you put something dumb and dont get any points. and i think its because they dont have a life and i only do it in my spare time at night

I get annoyed by it too....but make it to my own advantage and just write...."2 points"....so I haven't wasted my time looking at it
