Their agenda is to find truth by studying natural processes. Bias is reduced by publishing in peer-reviewed journals, so it refines itself. And only about half of scientists are atheist or agnostic, but almost all of the scientific community (99%) supports evolution. How is that for being open to the evidence? Rarely will you find other a group of people with such divisive beliefs who can agree with one concept.
What does it say about the religions that oppose the study of some sciences because it disagrees with their prearranged conclusions? Are these religions not, by their opposition, the antithesis of truth seeking?
Each time I see a preacher or believer lie to others about evolution because they have never studied the theory or don't like it, then I think less of religion. What is the purpose of religion, if it can so easily lie for its own internal agenda?
Would you ever read a book about evolution if I gave you one? Here's a primer. Study it, or risk categorizing all knowledgeable people as "atheistic" and all ignorant people as "theistic."

Edit: In case you are curious, this is how science works:
1. Observe
2. Make a hypothesis for the physical process
3. Test hypothesis in experiment (collect data in any way possible)
4. If hypothesis fails, throw it out and restart.
5. When a hypothesis meets the evidence, it graduates to a theory.
Notice, there is no mention of god or atheism in this process. Just observation, simplicity, and the flexibility to throw out ideas that fail to hold ground -- such as "the earth is 6,000 years old" or "men came from mud."

Well a few things to remember when discussing this issue. EVERBODY has an agenda, everybody has biases, that make doing studies objectively nearly impossible, second, most scientists, ironically enough, believe in God according to studies, and finally, Religion and Science do not have to be enemies, let people look at the facts and make their own decisions, and let them have their own views.

At this point I really don't care if you're joking or wrote this as a parody. You're misguided. You know why? Because you advanced nothing you proved nothing. Anyone who accepts the evidence for evolution looked at this and said "idiot". Anyone who denies it cheered you on. But the fence sitter, you pushed them toward denial. You might have done some good but you pissed it away for a joke.

A large percentage of scientists who believe in the evolution theory are atheist. A large percentage of atheists here at R & S are bashing, insulting and making a mockery of other religions. They have an agenda so I see why scientists also have an agenda.

Everyone has an agenda; why should scientists be an exception? But evolution is now a proven fact; the debate is over. (Details of the proof are available on request; please provide an e-mail address.)

Many of them occupy chairs. To avoid becoming Chairmen of the Bored, they set up agendas.

If you don't want to believe it, don't.
I am so sick of so called "Christians" coming on here and trying to tell everyone,"Well, you're going to hell if you don't believe what I think you're supposed to believe, der her her!!"
What was that little saying,"Only God can judge us." That being said, let people believe what we want to believe and shut up about it already!! GOD!!
ps- There is this little channel called the "Discovery Channel". You should check it out.

It's not the scientist that have an agenda, exactly what would that agenda be? To educate us? It's the Creationist that have an agenda. Why? They try to refute science, when they aren't even educated in it! (I liked the article, thanks)

Scientists do not have an agenda. They main goal is to that of discovery. Don't confuse atheism with science, sadly atheists think that science is only for them or that only they can grasp it. Science is for the benefit of every man.

I unquestionably have faith what you have in simple terms suggested. it is likewise easy to make the arguement, that the bible does not point out Noah bringing microscopic creatures onto the ark. I opt to have faith microscopic creatures do no longer exist in any respect.
