Okay what I have noticed is that a lot of the time people post questions that seem pointless. Everyone believes in what they want and if we just accept that, there would be a lot less arguing. Look, If you're an athiest, fine, if you're a Christian, thats fine too but if we stopped debating on homosexuals and who is or isn't open-minded or who is right or wrong. maybe we could get some real questions answered and learn from one another. You can't prove either side which is why its considered a BELIEF. This is a really difficult topic to discuss in the first place and we really should be considerate of each other's feelings and beliefs. Does anyone else at least slightly agree with me?

Yup...this board is somehow being used to bash religions or beliefs of people, instead of it being used for civil minded debates.

I absolutely agree with you. Sometimes, when you see the stupidity or BS someone says, It's hard not get a little annoyed. I try to live and let live, as long as they respect me the same way.

Tell me. How should I react after being called the child of the devil by a christian?

sorry, you dont see all the questions, of course, there are people who are genuinly seeking to know the truth, about where they came from, why they were created and how to make right with God, the God of the Bible, the Alpha and the Omega: the first and the last! or as he referres to himself as the "I AM" not who was, or who will be , but, who is! forever and ever!

so that is why many come to this site...or this section, they are looking for truth, searching to understand what their sin has blinded them from.

the bad news is, many that claim to know Jesus Christ are hypocrytes or just know of him, and do not know him personally...but i hope there will 24/7 be at least a couple genuine chirstians on here to shed light and truth in a dark foggy 'answers room'

By continuing to discuss R&S matters, you are steadily taking your mind off from the silly wordly matters and getting addicted to the real and desirable topics. Eventually if one contiues with the subject, he would have gained, what one may not gain by reading thousands of books and verses.

But better is to learn it from a living saint.

Are you considerate of a person's belief that a name is so sacred that a woman should be murdered because she allowed some children give that name to a teddy bear? Or are you considerate of people who believe that a woman who was gang raped should get 200 lashes for her part in enabling the rape?

Where do you draw your line of where you are willing to be considerate of beliefs that result in harm?

I find it so sad. Everyone is so angry and so ready to be offended. I really wish it were different.

Edit: Exactly Tickle. That was mainly why I happened upon here, I was looking to bounce ideas around, now I just play defense to a bunch of avatars that hate me lol

Sorry, I like asking questions to get people to think a bit. If you don't like it you can leave. You have the right to say whatever you like, and so does everyone else here. But you DO NOT have the right to NOT be offended by what people say.

Peace :-)

It is possible to discuss evidence, or the lack thereof, and draw conclusions from such, and this is a legitimate exercise for users of this forum.

All the real questions have been answered with circular logic. All that's left is the sound of me banging my head on my desk.
