Don't have it in your home. Don't buy it. Like quitting alcohol (a concentrated carbohydrate itself), you simply need to stop consuming it for a time and the cravings will diminish.
In the meantime, eat good quality, non-sugar high-carbohydrate foods, such as potatoes/sweet potatoes, whole grains, bread.
As a RA, you may need to constantly monitor your behavior for the tendency to become addicted or to obsess over anything. Don't allow anything to take over your will.

congradulations on your recovering, I know it takes a lot of effort, I want to tell you I am proud of you, even if I don't know you. I can relate...I used to drink some and smoked heavy too. quit both when I received Jesus Christ into my life and then took up the eating that I had been controlling with smoking...and I have not been good at controlling it.
I think if you would start eating more fresh fruit, giving your body natural sugars instead of processed may help some.
maybe grapes, and sugarfree gum may help too. drink lots of water to stay hydrated. you could switch to dark chocolate...it has antioxidants in it...personally, I can only eat a limited amount of dark chocolate.
I will say a prayer for you.
hey popcorn is a good snack, go easy on the butter, add some onion or garlic powder.
I have been eating pretzel sticks tonight, they crunch good and are low fat too.

I have no experience with this, but maybe you could but sugar free sweets or something, they'll taste good, and if you get the hard ones you can suck them and it might give your mouth something to taste without all the fattyness of ice cream and chocolate. And hot chocolate maybe? Its the same taste, and I'd guess it would fulfill your craving without being so bad for you..
I know thats not cutting out sweet things, but I think it'd probably be cutting down.

good, if this house sufficiently vast to stay in? if that's the case, i could take a photo pondering the homeowners could desire to have spent some extensive funds to have chocolate soften. If it rather is a small homestead, based at this sort of chocolate i could seem at it and walk on or i could purchase it.

i used to love all of that stuff in a big way now as im now a diabetic i am not allowed none of it, so i dont have any of it , its all boils down to how much u wish to enjoy your life cause after all u only have ONE chance to have a shot at it.so giving up those things to have a better quality of life is telling u something isnt it not.

Fruit. Instead of having ice cream or chocolate don't buy it. Buy fruit instead, it's good for you and should satisfy your sugar cravings. Also it is cheaper than chocolate and ice cream.

Rationing yourself works for some people, but of course it has to go with a large portion of self-discipline.
