According to science, the human body is designed to last for approximately 150 years. Generally speaking though, we don't live that long because in order to do so you would not only have to be lucky that you didn't get some type of disease (heart, cancer etc.) you would also have to live a perfect or near perfect life. That would mean exercise every day and a diet with most likely no meat whatsoever in it. We are actually supposed to be vegetarians.

Check the laws in your state, it may be that if he doesn't see the child or pay support for a certain amount of time he could be considered to have abandoned his child and forfeited his parental rights. Or her/hers. A stepparent has no legal rights to an unadopted child, not when they get older either. You need a lawyer to see if you can adopt the child. But how can there be interference if she hasn't been around for five months?
