Yes. They should be.

And the only problem I have with the enforcement of laws is the LACK of enforcement. We need to fix that problem, like yesterday. And local police SHOULD enforce immigration laws. ALL law enforcement SHOULD.

they already are and our law enforcement officers are helping get the job done. FROM THE ARTICLE; Some illegal immigrants in North Carolina are being deported after being jailed for traffic violations. FROM THE ARTICLE; Maricopa County sheriff’s deputies arrested eight illegal day laborers on Saturday during a protest outside a Phoenix furniture store embroiled in a heated immigration debate. FROM THE ARTICLE; Alabama is on the forefront when it comes to working with the federal government to train state troopers to deal with illegal immigrants, but some advocacy groups say the practice could lead to racial profiling and distrust of police. Yes, illegals should be deported, and no, I have no problem with the police enforcing the laws of immigration or any other law.

Yes, illegals should be deported but to do that, they should be caught first. Unfortunately, it's impossible to deport them all. I'd like to see police be given the right to check immigration status but it should be a very quick procedure, otherwise you'll end up locking up thousands of US citizens who speak with an accent. Including me :)

Yes, they should be. I realize that this is a task that no law enforcemnt agency could possibly handle, but it is the only way to stop the problem.
