My son is 2 and he always wants to be naked. He always takes his cloths off and diaper. We are at home most of the time and normally just runs around in a t-shirt and his diaper. Lately he just wants to run around naked, which was cute at first but now is annoying, when i did let him run around he got a cold from being naked and cold. And i didnt let him run around like that anymore. But he still takes that diaper off and makes a run for it. I tryed to put in him his underware so he could have a break from those diapers, he doesnt want to sit on the potty and go. I dont know what the deal is with him. Anybbody else have this problem?

Yeah, and he has peed on the floor before and he is cute and just naughty at same time, he says water when he pees, and he has also pooped on the floor before, and he was just looking at it like whats that, and i showed him poop goes in the potty and thought he would get the hint but no, now everytime he takes it off i have to run and get him fast or else he'll poop.

I don't know about the diaper thing, but if you're trying to get him potty-trained you should try what my boyfriend's mom did when he was that age. She'd put some Fruit Loops or Cheerios in the toilet and then she'd tell him that they were gonna play a game. She always had a snack or a cheap toy from like the dollar store or somewhere and he'd get a toy as a reward if he could sink all the cheerios/fruit loops. He thought it was a lot of fun and she said he caught on really fast and learned how to go potty like a big boy. He also learned good aiming techniques. Haha. It's something you could try.

Every two year old goes through this...sometimes they do it a bit earlier in life.
You need to set some ground rules, like no being naked when you have company and no being naked when you go outside.
He'll quickly learn the rules and accept them, you just have to seriously enforce them.
There isn't anything wrong with him being naked, unless he pees on the floor and then it's a mess you have to deal with. Let him know that if he wants to be naked, that he has to tell you when he has to go potty, and if he doesn't you'll put his diaper back on. (You can put his diaper on backwards and he probably won't figure out how to get it off...it'll make him mad but it works...you can also use really strong tape to keep it on!)

My son finally outgrew always wanting to be nagged around the age of 4.
But until then he was always taking off his clothes and running around in his birthday suite.
He'd even come out of the bathroom nagged during bible study and embarrass me and his father to no end.
He never pooped on the floor but he used to pee all over the bathroom floor and why he did that will always remain a mystery to me.
Kids do the strangest things and all we can really do as parents is hope and pray whatever they're doing is only a phase that they'll quickly outgrow.

It is the terrible two's rearing it's head for independance. A trick which should work quiclkly is to give him 2 or 3 shirts to choose from in the morning that he think will look well with his diapers. Once he has made a choice, praise him on how nice his outfit is, through the day. Then if anything comes off, you can say-oh no! you don't have your nice clothes on. They react quickly to having control of decision making, love being praised, and don;t want to spoil it by their own actions. When I gave my kids their own right to choose they were so proud and it truly changed their attitude. Sure is easier than scolding and reasoning all day. This works so good in almost all of their defiant moods! Hope it works for you too! Remember the constant praise on how good he looks!

COUNT ME IN! My 2 year old son loves being naked and also tries to make a run for it and starts laughing. Sometimes he'll just take his diaper off and throw it in the garbage! We use duct tape on his diaper. I was told of this suggestion by a friend of mine it works most of the time. He is capable of ripping it off though. And we use it all the way around the diaper too yet. If he wears clothes no sooner i put them on he is taking them off. Yeah though to keep his diaper on try the duct tape!

My grandson did the same thing! Good news is that now he is 3 and no longer does the stripping thing. Bad news is that after he started the naked thing & was made to wear his diaper & clothes, he spent a time scooping poop out of the diaper with his hand & throwing/smearing it! Hope THAT doesn't happen to you!

Ha ha! Sorry, but that's so cute. For some reason 2 year old boys like to be naked. I would just bribe him into getting dressed. For example: "You can no longer play with this truck until you get dressed" or time outs work super duper well for our 2 year old. We sit him on the stair and make him sit there for 2 minutes. Revoking privileges shows consequence to the actions they choose to take.

my daughter sometimes wakes us up naked and shes two.. she likes to take her diaper off too. I think its just a funny phase some kids go through just because they CAN, you know? Plus being in a diaper can't be TOO comfortable.. but my daughter isn't ready to use the potty just yet either. Occassionally she insists on going and other times shes scared to death of it... toddlers are nuts! haha Got to love them!

Mine did not do the naked hing but age 4 my sone would run around in this Batman or spiderman or whatever undies. He learned to keep clothes on when we told him if he would keep his clothes on when we went to the Grocery Store or to gas up the car he could go. It kept him dressed.
