You need to begin with a color image

You need a program that will allow you to work in layers. A commercial program is called Photoshop Elements 6. But, this is a hundred dollars. There is another program, which you can download for free, called GIMP. It is just like Photoshop, and is completely free. Just download it at the website. You will be sent to a mirror site.

Once you have this, you should open the photo buy dragging it into the GIMP icon. It will open. Right click on the image on the Layers panel, or open it under DIALOGS>LAYERS. Hide this new layer of the original by clicking on the EYE on the LAYERS window. Now, simply ERASE what you don't want, then add color to the part that you want. Though, since the image that you have is a black and white, you'll need to paint where you want colors. Bring up the copy, then desaturated by driving down the colors, then adjusting the CURVES. Flatten the image, then save.

This is just one thing that you can do. It seems difficult, and it is, but once you get the hang of it, it's not that hard.

Whatever you do, though, you need a program.

Hope this helped.

first two images are gray scale, that is a big problem adding colors is allot more complicated then removing them. So please post original shots and I'll do conversion for you. otherwise I don't want to spend 4 hours coloring it up for you :D
