If you think lettuce will increase to $10 your probably on crack.
I'd pay a little extra for a salad for peace of mind.

this is a mixed bag of happenings. by the way leah illegals sure can get welfare via their citizen kids. FROM THE ARTICLE; 32 percent of Arizona households headed by illegal immigrants receive some kind of government welfare assistance (usually aid for dependent children born in the U.S.). see the attachment. all are articles as to ICE deportations and business is booming! EDIT, FROM THE ARTICLE; Fort Wright Councilman Jeff Wolnitzek has pleaded guilty to using illegal immigrant labor at his Crescent Springs-based construction company. He will forfeit $2 million earned from employing illegal immigrants, according to a statement released by Wolnitzek's company, Spectrum Interiors. The crime Wolnitzek pleaded to is punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine for each illegal immigrant employed. Another subcontractor in a separate case involving illegals, Robert Pratt, received a 1½-year sentence after pleading guilty to the same charge earlier this month. FROM THE ARTICLE; In April, Emeryville's Woodfin hotel had fired Flores and eleven other housecleaners in the middle of a labor dispute over Measure C, which requires hotels to pay housekeepers a minimum of $9 an hour. Flores had been an outspoken leader until she was fired for a Social Security number mismatch. Why would a large corporation go to so much trouble to avoid paying workers a minimum of $9 an hour in a tiny city like Emeryville? "Measure C is about forcing a union organization on business," the hotel chain's ardently anti-union CEO said in an interview. Although the hotel itself is not unionized, Hardage claims that the East Bay Alliance for a Sustainable Economy (EBASE), the local worker advocacy group behind Measure C, is basically a union. "Measure C is not a living-wage ordinance," added hotel lawyer Bruno Katz in a separate interview. "It's a collective bargaining agreement masquerading as a living-wage ordinance. FROM THE ARTICLE; But uncontrolled illegal immigration is a big problem, especially for states such as California, Texas, Arizona and Florida. Together, they have 54% of all the illegals and bear the brunt of the problem. States together spend $20 billion a year on illegals' welfare costs alone.
That spending has become a kind of subsidy, luring ever more illegals to the U.S. Those that come have fewer skills and less education than the rest of the population. Anyone who thinks waving a magic wand over the illegal population and making them legal will solve the problem is dreaming. "Legalized illegals will still be overwhelmingly uneducated," the CIS report points out, "and this fact has enormous implications for their income, welfare use, health-insurance coverage and the effect on American taxpayers." In short, they've becoming a semi-permanent, welfare-dependent underclass. Unfortunately, when anyone brings this up, charges of "xenophobe" and "racist" get thrown around. But that only keeps us from an honest discussion -- and accounting -- of both the benefits and costs of our burgeoning illegal population." FULL ARTICLES ON THE LINKS

It is doubtful that illegals will be treated as anything else than just cheap labor. They allow businesses to retain higher profit margins and require no benefits other than regular pay. The strange part about allowing them access throughout the U.S. is that eventually the existing working class will be paying for their healthcare and such. The libs are quick to accuse anyone daring to control this infestation of racism, so it becomes a difficult issue as well. I would stand behind any person or party that had the balls to bring it all to a screeching halt. Did you also know that only 5 miles of border fence have been constructed even though monies to construct over 500 miles have already been allocated?

If the issue was left up to the American people, then yes, illegal immigration would be stopped so fast it would give them a nose bleed. Unfortunately, it's up to the politicians, and they don't have the gonads to stand up to big business and put a stop to it. Besides that, politicians have the money to insulate themselves from the effects of having 12 million illegals mucking things up.

seriously i don't think anything will happen.with illegals prices do stay relatively low.they cant get on welfare.when they get legal is when they get on our welfare system and milk it dry.also it would take alot of money and time to deport them all.also political relations and standing are high on the list of priorities of politics.other countries opinions of us influence our politics(kinda like this was a damn high school). i don't see amnesty or total deportation in our future as i don't see anything happening about the situation.i believe we will stay at a stand still.but who knows i may be wrong.
T 30 dollars a month for a kid is nothing compared to 200-300 a month a citizen or legal can get.and they say illegals.their children are not illegal.

First, the government, and some members of the general population, would have to pull their heads out of their butts.
I personally think we SHOULD take the steps needed to locate and remove as many illegals as possible.
However, I do NOT and will NEVER condone killing them. That is murder, no matter how you slice it.
I DO think business owners should be fined, HEAVILY for hiring illegal workers. As for prison, that is just not plausible. Our prison systems are already over crowded and in dire need of change as it is.

I SUPPORT YOU AND PUT IN BALLOTS ,obama billary think get vote by 50 million illegal thats why they want all mexican moving here with their open border like bush.
IMPEACH anyone who caters to the illegals. government in their impasse is destroying our culture, history and way of live.
Our taxes pay for teaching English to illegal children, including anchor babies; when are our taxes going to pay for teaching Spanish to our legal children so that the legal citizens,, have a chance to get one of those jobs where BI-LINGUAL is a requirement? Look at these jobs: bank tellers, health workers, school teachers etc. "
coorporation just more wealthy ripp of our tax.
As a person that lives in New Mexico, I can't even begin to tell you that something needs to be changed. I cannot go anywhere without hearing spanish speaking people. They do not even try to speak OUR language and then they get ticked when we cannot communicate.
We have special school programs for them, yet I pay for it. They don't have car insurance, so when they run into me, I have to pay for it. Our "lovely" governor called for a state of emergancy, yet he wants them to stay.
Oh and by the way....DO NOT VOTE FOR BILL RICHARDSON....if so our whole country will be little Mexico just like our state had become. "
