If the US were to continue on its road to being a fanatical christian nation, how long will it be before blasphemy issues like Mohammed the teddy bear start appearing in the US?

Lucid Freedom, how many have been burned at the stake or tortured in the name of the christian religion? It wouldn't take much for religious wackos to return to this method of control.

it is truly worrying that radical christians are using this to justify they way that they feel about outsiders.
Lucid Freedom think back to the army of god or the KKK.

I am a Christian but not fanatical, so I think your wording needs to be adjusted. Do not group all fanatics and false Christians in with the few good Christians. Everyone knows at Armageddon most of the world's population will lose their lives at this time, but not all of us are false and blasphemous Christians or from other false religions such as Islam.
Why oh why they march in the street wanting the execution of a good teacher, who is harmless, who allowed her kids, her students to name the teddy bear Mohammed, is beyond me.
Don't those psychopaths have anything better to do with their time than march down the middle of the street waving machetees and pick axes wanting to see the death and slaughter of a lowly and simple, a good school teacher?
Armageddon will be a wonderful day indeed to wipe those off the face of the earth who continue in this senseless path of destruction and murdering innocent people.
They, those Muslims waving around their slaughtering weapons in the middle of the streets are truly embarrassing, dispicable trash. Yes, Armageddon will be a wonderful day indeed. Never seen such ridiculousness in my life! Poor teacher!

In Islam, there's nothing wrong with naming a human being after the prophet Mohammed(pbuh). But there is a problem naming "THINGS" after the Prophet and that "THING" stands as a symbol for Him. Because the prophet shouldn't be recognized as that. Before Islam people use to idolize "THINGS", and so the prophet isn't a thing and shouldn't be portrayed as that. The teacher in Sudan, innocently enough, has been another case of politcal propaganda under the name of Islam. It is tragic that, again, some Islamic countries take their religion to the extreme for politcal reasons, making it even more difficult for westerners to truly grasp the real peaceful aspect of Islam.

Right, as if you see a bunch of Christians calling for the death of people and whacking off heads. Give me a break, seriously.
Gwen, besides the 10 people who have EVER died in abortion clinic bombings, give me some stats that dont exceed 300 years. The next step back is 900 years. I can give you stats from many other religions and lack thereof the last 100 years that bypass alot of even Christian history.

Governments tend to be fanatic when they have a complicated internal problems to shift the interest of nations to other directions to hide their problems,so as long as US has no dramatical issues ,fanaticism will be muffled.

Never will happen. That teacher was just stupid. Didn't she know the rules of that country when she went there? Why should she impose her liberal American concepts on that country. That is not her right. Although the punishment is extreme, she was wrong. How many of you would like it if a teacher suggested your child have a creationist party. Who's to say that country isn't moral? Who's to say that we are?
She overstepped her boundaries. She is only a victim of her stupidity.

Oh, they wish they could. Which is why we can't fight Islamic radicals, because our leaders don't have a leg to stand on since they believe the same immoral mystical garbage.
