Are you talking about homeless people or folks who are lonely? I think that is a necessity, coming in to eat, not a change of religion. Personaly, I don't subscribe to any man made religion. I am instead a follower of Christ, so anyone who came into my church would be fed regardless of their beliefs.
So I guess to maybe answer your question more fully, no, I would not give up my choice for anything. Hope this helps you find your answer.

I don't think they are changing their religion for a fee, I think they are just hungry. Some people don't even believe in God and will still go to a church or soup kitchen. I don't have a religion but I do have faith in God.

One can attend a church and enjoy a meal without changing one's religion. To attend doesn't mean you follow their religion or believe as they do. They will feed you even if you say you don't believe. Even if they teach you about their doctrine and testimonies, you can still decide to remain faithful to whatever religion you had when you walked in the door.

No, I wouldn't change my religion for a fee. I have gone to a soup kitchen in the past when I had been kicked out of my house. I appreciate their hospitality but it didn't cause me to change my religion.

Sure. Religion has nothing to do with my personal spirituality. religion is the tradition, doctrine, and structured worship created by man. So, for enough money, I'd go to just about any house of worship on the appointed days. Me and my God will be OK regardless

Church and food kitchens feed hungry people that don't have the means to feed themselves, just like Jesus is said to have done. They don't kick you out if you're athiest or Taoist. In fact I help out at some Christian food banks even though you'd never find me in the congregation.

Sure because it is not religion that gives me God. My relationship with him does. I would not trade that for the world. However, the religion, I did that already I actually traded that for a relationship.

No ,that means they didn't care about or know enogh about their religion to begin with. There is this local radio L.A. sportscaster who is an Italian American Catholic. His son, because of his fiance is changing over to Judaism for her so they can get married. He is fine with it since he is a nominal believer anyway. But it pains me to think this kid is renouncing Jesus. He doesn't realize how terrible that is.

Sure, if I were homeless and starving I'll pay lip service to any deity to get some food and perhaps a warm bed.

I know some who take the money and keep their religion at the same time.
