i think the better representation of a cross section of america is anti immigration folks. there are people of all ethnicities who oppose illegal immigration, where pros are more strongly represented by latinos with the largest number being mexican.

ONes opposed have the "better cross section" You got to remember that those 300,000 (28%) in Fed pens and the est. 300,000 in state jails committed most of the crimes in areas where they blend in. Then you also have the backlash of people who busted their you know what and didi it the right way and for what? The drugs, crime, jobs etc. have effect everyone.

ON Lou Dobbs he brought up a study they showed it was all the staes, not just border states and I have to agree, remember Rudy jumping on Mitt, werer did Mitt live at that time.

No the democrats are playing a dangerous game and it could backfire on them with this issue. To cry amnersty and send more thatn the 300,000 a month they say come in over the southern border is just a shame. It would not be so bad but you you have 1 in 7 caught that are from terror countries. I wonder how they get into Mexico, with such strict immigration standards? nubers range from 12 up to 38 million, but I figure 40-60 as the 9 million who get visas each year over a third break the law and hide out in the country after they expire. this is not fantasy, its fact.

Take care.

I would have to say those opposed. Because even those who support illegal aliens, they also want the border enforced and immigration done legally. Whereas those who are opposed to illegal aliens already have wanted the borders enforced as well as the laws.

i agree with DOG TRICKS i am pro reform, not open border.but those opposed are of every race.where as pros are mostly Latinos and the whites that sympathise.
also the antis are a larger number so logically they would have to be more diverse.that and they have the legal immigrants who find it unfair they had to go through the process.

Honestly? I think if Pro's could agree on a set standard Pro Reform would be the majority. With many Anti's joining. There's 2 sets of Pro's. Open Borders and Pro Reform and they have huge differences of opinions and ideals. This is a really hard debate to take a firm stand on. Both of the 2 sides that make sense have good arguments ans also things to back up their stand. I guess we all just need to listen more.
