My all of my friends parents just happen to hate me. I think its because I don't have good manners. I'm really lound around my friends and its hard to be quite and proper. And I'm 13 and I don't really know what to talk about when I'm with them with their parents, I talk about guys but then they just think that its too young to be talking and saying guys are cute.

thanks

So basically your a loud 13 year old.. who only talks about boys. I would say your boy-crazy.. and while crushes I understand.. I am hoping you aren't dating at the young age of 13.

If I can be honest with you...

You should develop yourself into more than what you are.

First off.. manners.. good manners will take you far in life.. they will earn you respect, they will help you get a job, they will help you in school with teachers and even with peers. Good Manners are not to be scoffed at.. I know talking about it.. kids your age think.. good manners = geek.. but that's so way off base..

If I were you I'd start small... watch your language, use please, and thank you.. to start with .

Keep your voice at a reasonable level. not too loud... soft spoken is better.

And for conversations.. don't talk about boys all the time.. that gets old quick.

Instead if you dont' know what to talk about, then ask questions..

How was your day Mrs. So and So?

This spaghetti is good.. can you teach me how to make it?

and use compliments.

I really like your outfit.

Dinner was delicious.

Offer assistance,

Can I help you with the dishes?
Can I help you bring in the groceries?
We're going to the store, do you want us to pick up anything for you while we're there?

All these things.. build trust, and respect. At least it's a start.

I'd also say.. you're 13.. the new year is coming up.. challenge yourself..

Create some goals for 2008 for you to achieve.. and not just general ones like I want to lose 20 lbs..

make real ones.. here's some that I think would be good for you.

* I will read one serious novel on my own, each quarter.
* I will take up a new craft or hobby.

Start there.. not only will those two goals get you started in the right direction. but it'll give you something to talk to parents about.. and they will see you as a more complete person than a boy crazy 13 year old.

I so accept as true with you! I used to be on the gasoline stations this morning 6:15 and fueled my automobile up, as I used to be status on the counter to pay a few man at the back of me allow out a large burp. I became round and checked out him, after which and best then, while he noticed me watching at him, did he say excuse me. I simply proposal what a pig. A lot of men and women simply do not have manners any further. I recognize for a incontrovertible fact that my husband might in no way do this even as ready in a line, he is a real gentleman. To dangerous there are not extra men and women on this global which might be.

You are probably correct - good manners make any parent like you more when you hang around their children.

Don't talk about the opposite sex around parents. Parents like to think that their kids don't think about it until they are at least 16 -- which is really silly since they thought about it at your age already.

When you are around your friends parents, just remember to say please and thank you, speak politely when spoken to, and don't get loud in the public areas.

Definitely not a good idea to talk about guys or dating to parents. Just make small talk with them, or wait until they ask you a question or talk to you.

Your manners matter! Saying please, thank you, and excuse me are good traits for anyone to have.
