America is blamed for everything including moral decline. I think that globalization has little to do with it. Just look in a village that has no tv or much outside contact. It has all the elements of greed, lust and hopelessness.

Lancaid, you are so honest. I live in rural India. I see as much there as in the cites. Maybe not so blatant though.

I like that America thinks. As if America is a human being. Perhaps there's our downfall. We generalize too much.

Are people really reading what I am saying? I'm not blaming America. Some seem to read that. I am saying that we are responsible, not America. I say Asia because I have been in several Asian countries where people tend to play that blame game.

I think because of the economic situation being bad that most people have turned angry and have been too concerned about the pressures of keeping a job and a roof over their heads than they have the morals of teaching their children what is right and what is wrong. Our government used to yell "terror" every day on the TV and scared half the people to death. Terrorists have been with us forever and will always be with us, American or otherwise. We learned about water-boarding which was outrageous, the states were separated into red and blue states, the big wigs were getting fat bonuses while half of America was starving. People do not feel the need for morals when they see their own government doing all the crooked things which have been done and then robbing us blind. Good examples have to be set especially by our government as well as parents, and the government has shown us that they are morally corrupt, so why should we be any different? It is not just younger people I am talking about either.

Well, with freedom comes the many great aspects, but also some negative aspects. America has often been blamed for bringing moral decline by governments that try to control all aspects of their people.
It is "partially" true, but really, it is just human nature. Because of a slowly growing freedom movement in many parts of Asia, especially China, they are exposed to more freedom.
And really, what they had before isn't any more moral either. Oppressing everyone to do exactly your bidding isn't my idea of moral. I'm a big believer of freedom, even if some makes it look bad.

your question is a facade. beyond the fact that a change in morality defined as a "decline" by one person can just as easily be defined as an "improvement" by another, "asian countries" is a very vague & broad geographic covering about 1/3 of the worlds population.
that being said, if 280 million americans have managed to cause the decline of 1 a billion Indians who were until recently essentially slaves on england, and 1.5 billion chinese who have always had a tradition of isolationism & disregard for the outside world, then either americans morality is unimaginably corrosive, or the the last few generations of these "asian countries" is extremely susceptible to suggestion.

I believe every country is responsible for its own deed to decline in the structure of the world and america has a huge positive influence in the world because of Internet, TV ..etc. It depends upon an individual country how to take America's impression...sometimes they imitate America for an unimportant issues but overlook the main aspect.

If people want to drop their moral standards then thats the fault of the individual.

greed, lust and hopelessness are human emotions. no one is responsible for creating them, but the people who feel them. America is blamed because they always want to be the best. America thinks that it is the best country in the world and that everyone else should follow its example. it is particularly full of greed, lust and negative influences that is why it is blamed , for everything. it wants to lead, but it sets a bad example.

There has always been periods of moral decline, even before America existed, so we are not responsible.
Every human being has the choice of acting morally or not, if they don't, it is not America's fault.
We're not perfect and don't claim to be, but we're not responsible for the moral terpitude of anyone else.

The free world has nothing to do with the GD commies. They have always and will always defy society, so they can dictate upon their population. In no way is America responsible for the actions of those silly communist freak-shows. I've been to Hong Kong and Shen Zhen, China before. Trust me - the Chinese definitely know how to create their own problems. It is a stinky, polluted, over-populated, ugly, nasty hell hole over there. There is no way a cowardly communist government can possibly lay blame on people who elect their own officials.

It's the Asian countries' faults. They need to get their government's act together or overthrow them. There are six keys to a great country that's dedicated to the people, and they will help these countries to be more like America:
1. Independent media to empower the people: A free media exposes government's errors, giving it an incentive to improve.
2. Independent Judiciary: If the government elects it's judges, the people always lose.
3. Effective foreign aide: Foriegn countries like America need to give medicine to the people and not to tyranical governments.
4. Independent army: the people need an army independant of tyranical government and with the support of powerful countries that the USA.
5. Effective communication: Countries like America need adequate communication with the people to help empower them.
6.Independant electorial commision: the people need independant persons to run democratic elections independent of tyranical government.

No country can "make" another one decline morally. People have a choice. They are responsible for their own moral fortitude or character. I hate it when people say things like, well, he or she is responsible for getting me into drugs (or whatever other vice you'd care to insert). My answer is always, Oh yeah? He sat on your chest and pumped you full of drugs until you became an addict? Or did you CHOSE to do drugs. Lets put the blame where it is deserved ;on individual weakness and stupidity.
