you're examining an English translation. Jesus did not talk English. on each occasion a translation is made, do not anticipate there to be a particular observe which we now mean father, or daddy, or dad or papa or despite the fact that. Languages do not artwork that way. i comprehend I as quickly as reported "John, the baptizer" and became corrected by utilising a Baptist that it became John the Baptist. Then somebody got here upon the unique Aramaic observe. She asked what does it mean. It merely means somebody who baptizes. Over easy minded human beings think of for any observe in English there's a corresponding observe in yet another language and vice versa. The observe Jesus used has been given by utilising English translators to be father, yet we gained't say that father has the comparable precise which means because of the fact the observe Jesus used.

Well, although knowing the Bible is very important, memorizing it can prove to be very difficult for anybody! Do you realize how big the Bible is? I can tell you that I have read alot of the Bible. I don't doubt that there is a rare group of folks who can memorize it, but it would not be easy! Knowing the word is extremely important. But you must also have a balance of fasting prayer and committment. Even Satan knows the Bible. Obvioulsy, Satan is doomed, so a person must have a balance of fasting, prayer, faith ect. But I agree that knowing the word is important.

The Bible is 10 times as long.

77,801 words in the Koran

783,137 words in the Bible

79,847 words in the Torah, and not surprisingly - as many Muslims have memorized the Koran - so have many Jews memorized the Torah. They are about the same length, so are equally achievable.

UPDATE: Look into it - memorizing the Bible is actively pursued by a lot of Christians. While the task is more daunting than memorizing the Koran, it is achieveable.

That would be quite a gift for any one person to memorize the whole Bible, even if it's the shortened Protestant Bible. Why would you expect a priest to memorize the Bible?

The average person given enough time and energy can memorize a very large amount of text, particularly if it is set to a rhyme or musical pattern.

So what exactly is the question here?

Could you memorize every word, every line of ALL your Harry Potter Books?

I didn't think so.

The Bible isn't just a book, it's a collection of books. Also, God's word is less diluted if it's read directly. It's like the game of telephone.
