The Royal Family are a family of immigrants.

Her Majesty, the Queen is the offspring of immigrants. Her paternal grandmother, was German by birth with a German father and a half German mother. She is descended from Queen Victoria, who married a German. And the Queen herself married a Greek. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancestry_of_Elizabeth_II_of_the_United_Kingdom#Ancestry_chart

Princess Diana’s maternal grandmother was American. Making Lady Diana, only 75% British.

If I have worked it out correctly, Her Majesty is 31.25% German and 6.25% Dutch which makes her 37.5% ‘foreign.’ Her husband is only 6.25 % British (a Great-great grandmother of Prince Philip was Queen Victoria).

And that is only going back a few generations. So based on that, are the Royal Family British? And if they are not, should we send them back, and if so, where? Or should we just expel some of them based on parentage?

OK and when did your family come to these shores? Were they with the Angles and Saxons? or were they with the Romans? or the last invasion with the Normans? if your answer is yes to any of these off you go and don't darken our door again. The only people who would have a right to say this is their country are those descended direct and only from the people who crossed the land bridge after the ice age ended. Can you trace your ancestry back that far????

You've worked it out?! You need to get out more! Send all immigrants back I say. Yes we all know that along the line we all descend from immigrants but this tiny country is the most overpopulated country in europe and why should we see our countryside concreted over to make space for more people? And there's hundreds of thousands of illegals getting through too abusing the system. It's not a racial issue just practical and every intelligent taxpayer in this country feels the same.

There you go!

From time began people have moved around and settled in other parts of the world. And it has involved people claiming land, wars, etc. I mean, we had the vikings come down and land here. Thats how we got our people with fairer complexion and blonde hair. I don't know what all the fuss is about. Live and let live.

The royal family provides an interesting counter-balance of power to parliment, as such - the royal family holds political sway because of royalist content of the british population.

No, i don't think we should send them back - their presence on the British political scene is something that no other western country has, and should be valued accordingly, at least to my eyes.

American is land of immigrants too. That part is not a problem. With times, laws have evolved. So, we can not go back and send someone back who already has the legal status. We can only deal with the situation in hand and send back who don't qualify according to current law.
