Rowan is a boy's identify through culture. Even regardless that it's getting used more and more through women, I do not suppose that the train is but wellknown ample for it to have the popularity of a Unisex identify, however it's undoubtedly heading in that course. I suppose that Rowen has a female sound, so I could now not select it for a boy. I am liking it increasingly as a woman's identify and would possibly recall it for a daughter (if there weren't such a lot of woman names I like greater). As a normal rule I dislike boy names on women; There are a only a few exceptions and Rowen is one. Tradition is a high-quality factor to be revered, but if it determines absolute rule over our offerings, it establishes oppression and represses creativity and innovation. History tells this story from recorded time.

Either a male or female dog can be good, so that choice is up to you. If you want to get a female dog and are worried about her getting pregnant, you could always get the dog you have neutered before you get the new one. Male dogs recover faster from being fixed because it's not a real invasive surgery, so he would be back to his normal self real soon and ready for his new friend. This would also prevent him from possibly getting loose sometime and getting someone else's dog pregnant. Good luck with whatever you decide to get--I'm sure your dog will love having a new brother or sister!

Either can be a friend. for health reason it is best that they both be neutered and we already have thousands of dog being destroyed because they are not enough homes.
How you introduce the two will determine if they get along. Introduce them in a neutral place....like a park. Let them meet and play. They will smell each other and hump each other boy on girl and girl on boy and boy on boy. It is not a mating thing, ....it say Hi , How are you, I'm here and I going to be the dominate partner...what you think??? Just let the introduce them selves and you prevent any fights. If you see either one with tail up, aggressive stance, growling, ears forward, pull up on the leash with a quick sharp tug and say no. You need to distract them from the attack mode. Hopefully you won't have any problems.

After they play together at the park then it is easier for your guy to accept the other dog coming into his home.

Do you know how many healthy puppies and dogs are euthanized in shelters because of it just too crowded and too many unwanted animals? About 10 million a year in the US. So please think about them before you let your female dogs get pregnant..Your male dog should be neutered also, that will stop him from being "sad" about always wanting to find a female dog, it may also help prevent him from running away from you some day in search of a female to mate with. Also, spaying your female dogs will prevent cancers, same with your male dog. In males, neutering also prevents some hernias.

You could get a female if you really want to, just keep them seperated for the day that you can't get her spayed. Since you don't want to risk getting her pregnant, just keep her seperated from him (you can use baby gates if needed) and you won't have to worry about it. Then you can get her spayed ASAP and not have to worry anymore. OR you could get both dogs spayed/neutered and never have to worry about it again! Just make sure they have a quiet place to rest when they come home from the vets!

Thank you for not adding to the overpopulation of dogs!

P.S. Your dog will not be sad if you do not choose the female. As long as you introduce them properly, he will probably be happy with either!

THANK YOU for not being one of those idiots who wants to breed their dogs for no good reason.

Having a male and female together is fine, but you WILL have to desex (spay/neuter) at least one of them. Is your male neutered? Even if he isn't, you don't have to spay your girl that very day. Males will only try to hump a ***** if she is in heat - that's when she's fertile. In other words, your unfixed female is safe around your unfixed male until she goes into heat. So you don't have to spay her that very day, but you should do it as soon as possible before she goes into heat and an accident happens.

A female can get pregnant as soon as they have come in heat, some come in heat as early as 6mos, this is way too early to let her breed, a yr or more is better....watch the femaile or have her spayed, pls dont breed at 6oms, but sometimes it cant be helped ....
