ps3's potential is not even close to be reached yet. if you take a look at uncharted drake's fortune, its very realistic and guess what, thats only 30% of what ps3 can do. so imagine how real it would look at 100%
xbox 360 already reached its potential and the wii, i dont even know if theres any potential for that system, haha

also ps3 is way better because...

- ps3 has a built-in blu-ray player

-ps3 supports 1.3 HDMI which has rich colors and xbox supports 1.2 HDMI

- ps3 has much more and better exclusives, most of them cant go to xbox 360 because it cant handle that many data(DVD- 8.5gb, blu-ray 50gb)

- because of the blu-ray's huge space, ps3 will have WAY better graphics than 360

- online is free for ps3 not like 360

- ps3 will have over 300 games released by this spring

- you can browse the internet on ps3, no such thing for xbox 360

- when developers get used to the system, the graphics will be WAY better than 360. should take them a year to get used to it

- developers stated that they will start using ps3 as the lead platform and port ps3 games to xbox

- playstation home is coming out this spring, its a virtual community where you can hang out with friends and customize your own apartment which xbox doesnt have(FREE)

- ps3 is a true HD console. xbox 360 upscale games to 1080p and ps3 DISPLAY games up to 1080p

- built in Wi-Fi

- xbox 360: 33% hardware failure
ps3: .2% hardware failure(see the decimal? less than 1%!)

- ps3 has better back-comp except the 40gb

- rumble returns in spring 2008

- you can upgrade your harddrive without voiding warranties with any 2.5 HDD, which xbox cant because you have to buy a xbox HDD
(they actually have the step by step on how to upgrade it on playstation.com)

those are the ones that i know right off my mind but there are much more reason than this

Now I want you to do me a favor, list all the reasons why xbox is better than ps3. I PROMISE you that nobody will get at least 5 reasons

Prices as of today:
ps3- 80gb: $499 with motorstorm
40gb: $399 with spiderman 3 blu-ray
xbox 360(premium)- $349
(elite)- $449
if you want the accessories that ps3 comes with, that would add up to over 700 dollars, so that means ps3 is actually cheaper

Ps3
Blue ray- which the 360 does not have. You have to buy it seperately will cost you around 200 dollars. If you look at the technical stuff, the PS3 is superior to the 360. It comes with a built in blu-ray player, which is nice if you love the super hi-def resolution for movies. Why it's actually important is because the ps3 games come in blu-ray format. 360 games come in DVD format. Blu-ray disks have 25 GB memory (single layered), where as DVDs have only 5 GB memory (single layered). This means that PS3 games not only have better graphics (though it's not really showing right now, I'll talk about that later), they also have more space to put game information. If you read a magazine article vs a novel like Harry Potter, which will give you more information? Which will take longer to read? Blu-ray is like the novel. It allows for a deeper, longer, and better game. Right now this may not seem like a big deal because 360 games are just fine. But in the future, this will matter. The DVD format will cripple the 360 when game developers are trying to put so much into a game, and there isn't enough room. This will leave the PS3 with a much better gaming experience. Remember, this is more of a reason for the future. Blu-ray will last and DVD won't. Now, 360 owners may say "Well, you can buy a HD DVD player for the 360, which is just as good." It actually isn't. It costs $200, and it only plays HD DVD movies. The games are still DVD.

Six axis controller- Again the 360 does not have because the six axis have moion sensing just like the wii. Also it has a built in rechargeble battery and no wires. right now it just sucks because it has no vibration to it. But in a couple months its coming put with the new dual shock 3 six axis for a fact.

Playstation Home- Ever play sims well imagine the people that come into your property can be your friends play games and other stuff. Create your own virtual space and room. Invite friends chat im everything.

No need headset- You can easily use any cell phone bluetooth for online play no need for the 360 headset no plugs just push and play.

Games- Sony is still developing just like how the 360 devolpoe the halo 3 took a while but for the ps3 we have great games but not as much as 360. By 2009 we will have as much games as the 360.

Remote play- If you have a psp and a ps3 just by going to the internet with your psp anywhere in the whole world. You can acess your hardrive movies music photos such like thats what makes sony ps3 so much better

Memory- The ps3 has a 20gb 40gb 60gb and an 80gb 80gb is the best. You can attach extra hardrives as much as you want the 360 cant do that the max is 120gb. wow that sucks.

Wifi- 360 does not have you have to buy it seperately wow how gay. which is like 100 dollars and the signal strength isnt that strong The ps3 alreadycomes with it because its a default sony knows this..

System fan- ps3 has prove it has a quiteier fan than the 360..

Failure rate- ps3 0.1 percent 360 33 percent bad

It will probably be the PS3, but definitely not the Wii.

The Wii might be fun for now, but it doesn't have the power to maintain great functionality in a changing video game world.

The PS3 and Xbox 360 are in much closer competition. They both support a great graphics engine and a wide variety of expanding capabilities. I do think the PS3 will win it out when the figure out how to add vibration to the controllers and reduce the size of the console.

For potential: PS3
For games right now: Wii/PS3.
The PS3 has good games but its only been out for a year so it doesn't have a huge selection of them. The Wii hasn't been out for much longer but has got a large selection. Since you asked about potential the PS3 is best, with the release of PS Home, MGS4 next year, and the great games that have barely scratched the surface of what the system is capable of.

PS3
Plus is basically an amazing supercomputer and free online play
Minus: currently limited game sellection

Xbox 360
Plus: Hd compatible like ps3 and has xbox specific franchises (halo)
minus: thats basically all it has and u have to pay for online (xbox live)

Wii
Plus: crazy motion controll stuff and nintendo games
Minus: will always have limited game sellection and isnt hd compatible. not a real gaming system with remote

my suggestion

buy a ps3 and wii with ur ps3 for real games and wii for just having fun kind of games like wii sports and supersmash brawl

xbox 360 - 8 gig dvd games - outdated dx 9 graphics- processing power less then currnet PCs, shared Graphics memory, Hdmi 1.2 If you want: HDDVD ability you have to purchased for $189, want wifi you have to purchase for $100, want rechargeable controllers have to purchase for $20.

Wii dvd games but innovative and cult game following, internet browser,

Ps3 Games on 50 gig blueray, dvd upscaler, Nvidia graphics with dedicated memory, 8 core processor ( can do the work in 8 hours that it would take 100 computers to do in a week Folding@home project) Hdmi 1.3 supports deep color.
Has internet browser, can hook up printers etc... More media options -sdcards, memory stick cards, and compact flash. Comes with wifi and hd blueray movie watching ability. Comes with rechargable controllers.

I'd say the ps3 hands down. 200 games out now, 300 more by march including 19 exclusives- haze, killzone 2, etc...

I read the Wii is the best selling console in the video game industry. The demand for the Wii is so high that the Wii producers are unable to supply enough. That right there says a lot about the game!!!

PS3 has a lot of potential in my opinion, just needs better games. It doesn't have a rumble pack (I like having that)

XBOX 360 Is the best in my opinion

Wii makes games a lot more fun but I wouldn't choose it over a 360 or PS3.
