I am working in IT, but would like to quit IT if possible. I am under 35 years of age. I would be interested in other line of work. I'd like to get your suggestions for something that does not take that much training, and legal high paying line of work. I don't care if it's dangerous.

However, I exclude going to Afghanistan or Iraq as a Army enlistee. That would not be the type of life I want to live.

Wow, just wow. Scumbag companies hire illegals for a variety of reasons. They have these people over a barrel. They can pay them less, make them work overtime for free and do unsafe things. Illegals have no voice in the workplace. They have no union to protect them and they can't very well run to the NLRB, for fear of being deported. It's a lot more widespread than you believe. I've seen it on many jobsites in the construction industry. The only way to solve the illegal immigration problem is to go after the employers. When the jobs dry up, so will the flood of illegals.
