I thought they only wanted white, rich, heterosexual, conservative male US citizens because they're the ones with all the money in business. A man's gotta have some little company director's haven to retire to when he's finished f****ing up the country. Just look at good ol' Uncle Dick Cheyney and li'l Georgie Bush.
Besides, if you're silly enough to vote in the cretinous and overprivileged to begin with, what else can you expect?

I am Christian and I am very sensitive to any candidate trying to smooze my vote... But what I do have to say is this - all the categories you list above are important. But they are very complicated. Not like me going to my car wash and getting an A, B, or C wash. Not that easy and we need to elect someone who can handle, and deal with it. The conservative white male is falling by the wayside. More and more women are stepping up because they have to. And are. That's the new public as well as just turned 18 year olds. That is, the ones who don't completely hate the government....

Which Jesus are you talking about? James carried on the tradition of preaching the hippieish, anti-worldly possession bull that made Jesus so unpopular among the mainstream, in the wilderness to the poor, undesirables. Paul repackaged it for the rich so as to mainstream christinity.
Democrats are also christian. They are always taking pictures of the Clintons going to church, the church Chelsea will be married in, the church the Obamas were married in, etc.

I think I understand what your point is but let me toss this back at you. Most who don't consider themselves to be christian are quick to say these things that you've stated above as being lacking in those leaders (and non-leaders for that matter) who consider themselves to be Christians; however, these are the same people who are up in arms when one of these leaders (or non-leaders) speaks out against something that Jesus did not condone. YES, we need more compassion in our leadership but not at the expense of truth. Jesus didn't compromise His principles by offering grace--as He told the woman caught in the act of adultery "your sins are forgiven, go and sin no more."
Blessings.

Just because the GOP party claims to be Christian, not all are- so please do not generalize- however I have a question for those liberals- what would Jesus do if with the people who have aborted 4,000 babies a year? Of course He would forgive if they repented- however do you think Jesus would be please with the government saying it ok - because it is a choice? Just a thought.

To the GOP, up is down, love is hate, poverty is wealth, and oppression is upholding your rights.
No wonder they're going to suffer the same fate as Australia's conservatives in the next election. Even fundie Christians are tired of being used for Halliburton

What on earth makes you think that the GOP is Christian?!
Their Christianity is just as authentic as their down-home, lower middle class upbringings.

All political parties claim to be Christian in the US. Because the US is mostly Christian. However I do not think many politicians actually believe the faith which they claim to follow.

I am a Christian and I don't believe the GOP is really Christian. I believe they claim to be Christian and are actually an agency of Satan set up to stain the name of God.
What better way to discredit God than to make him look like an overbearing hateful God?

I don't believe in the bible, therefore I don't believe in Jesus. Or, at least, his message. Most likely, if there ever was a Jesus, he was quite delusional. The bible is very contradicting. I believe that the judgements made in the bible are the same as the ones you've just explained as an example. I Doesn't the bible condemn(sp?) hypocrites. Funny, it condemns itself. oO
