I like roulette, a lot of bets on the table are 50/50. Like odd or even or black and red. . . you can put your bet on a whole column of numbers, or on a specific number. I enjoy this game a lot, and since dealers arent really suppose to tell you what exactly to bet on, you can ask them questions like, can i bet on this, am i able to do this? They can basically give you the rules of the game, and that usually helps. I suggest starting out at a couple of dollars a bet, (make sure there is a low minimum bet table) and get a feel for how the game is played. Its a lot of fun and you dont lose to much, just dont go overboard and start betting crazy on single numbers, chances are you will lose. I bet 20 dollars on a single number and hit it, but the chances of that happening is very slim. I won 700 dollars, thats the most i have ever won on it. . . . if you bet on a single number it is 25:1. . .
Here is a payout table. . . . Good luck!!

Learn blackjack and play "basic strategy." It's simple and offers the best odds. A close second is craps. Both craps and blackjack offer a house edge of less than 1% (closer to .5% in fact).
Craps is probably more exciting than blackjack so you might opt for that if you prefer excitement. With blackjack, however, you can learn to count cards (a snap, really) and actually gain a small edge over the house.
You might also take a look at video poker. If you find a casino that programs their video poker machines to a "9/6 payout," your odds are about the same as blackjack and craps. If it also has a progressive jackpot over a particular amount (as a percentage of a single max bet), it may actually be offering the player a slight edge! (Note, however, if you hit the jackpot, you'll have to submit tax information and the taxes on the jackpot will negate such an edge... unless you also claim an equal amount of losses.)
I'd warn you against playing poker until you really know what you're doing. True, the house doesn't have an "edge" necessarily, however they do take a rake (a percentage of each pot or entry fees in tournaments) which is SUBSTANTIAL! The truth is MOST POKER PLAYERS LOSE... even (if not especially) the ones that claim to be God's gift to the game.
Seriously, even the seemingly-most-knowledgeable people (myself included) that answer questions here, win very little at the game. And everyone else loses. Period. Few will admit it, but that is the truth. (Only about 1/3 of the serious players, and few if any of the casual players, make a profit. Would you really play a game where you're at best a 2-1 underdog?)

At the tables, blackjack or craps. If you want to sit at a machine, video poker, provided you find a good game with a high payout table (I play 9/6 jacks or better).
Stay away from the slots, you can get lucky and win big, but in the long run they are a big ripoff.
Before you play anything, learn the correct strategy (at home, not in the casino) so you don't lose your money as quickly and have a shot at winning. The casinos make most of their money from the 90% who are complete morons and have no clue how to play the games. Try not to be one of them.
Any information you learn from the dealers, or casino provided free lessons, should be taken as suspect. Fine for learning the rules, but the dealer won't tell you which bets are sucker bets and what the best things are to do. The only useful help you'll get from a dealer is proper gambling etiquitte (how to signal to hit and stand, don't say the word "seven" in craps when the shooter is trying to avoid it, etc.). For example, a blackjack dealer isn't going to suggest something really bad, but they won't give you the "best" advice.
Also, if you decide to play blackjack and you know you are playing by the correct strategy, ignore the dummies at the table who try to tell you that you made the wrong decision or who blame you for the dealer not busting (causing everyone to lose) because you hit a soft 18 against a 10. In most cases these people don't know how to play properly and have no clue about the basic laws of probability. Also try not to be upset when their poor play makes you lose, because in the long run the effects of their stupidity even out (for you, not for them).

Learn to play being a responsible adult. Very VERY few people actually win big in a casino. Most however LIE about how well they do.
Check out their bank account and then see how the casino is doing. I'll bet the casino is doing fine and the big winner's aren't.
Want a life change? Join the Armed Forces, volunteer for ANYTHING, be a big brother/sister, pick up trash on the side of the road.
Gambling is for fun, it's not a great choice for changing the direction of your life unless living under an overpass appeals to you.

Well first let me caution you...don't take more money with you than you can afford to lose. Also make sure you leave cards and money at home that you really don't want to lose.
OK now that my warning is out of the way, try Craps. It seems difficult and confusing at first, but can be a great way to win a lot of money and is great fun if you are winning!
Blackjack is easy and fun to learn...very quick learning curve on it. I personally love Caribbean Stud Poker, Three Card Poker, and Let It Ride. Most of the people sitting around at the tables will help you learn and it is a fun process. Enjoy your beginners luck!

If this is your first time, get a basic strategy card for bj and craps play at low end tables. 2nd learn bj courtesy and rules of how to handle cards or hand motions, the dealer will help you. House edge in bj and craps are the lowest in these two games if you follow basic strategies. Stay away from slots and roulette.

The game with the best odds is poker, especially if you have a good poker space and have a good pair of sunglasses. But, it is pretty hard to learn and you have to practice A LOT before you go to a casino and waste all of your life savings.

Poker. No Limit Texas Hold'em is the game to learn. It's the one game where the casino doesn't care if you win or lose.
