Since there is NO evidence that a God exists, and literally mountains of evidense for evolutiona to be named a natural law, is it only to avoid getting the natives up in arms that science keeps calling evolution "Theory" only?

Well since a theory and a law are functionally different in science my vote is no. But I do think that we should have a consensus to change the wording so that it isn't confusing to non-scientists. Theories should be called something that points out that they are tested and generally accepted.

evolution doesnt disprove God

and if you think that there is "NO evidence that a God exists" you have obviously not searched for other views. You probably saw a show on Discovery Channel talking about evolution and commited your life to that belief.

so try to be a little more open minded

It is probably true that it is still only called theory because of the controversy it causes with creationists. Evolution is fact.

Science is based on observation. Thus far, we've only observed intra-species or micro-evolution. We do have evidence that suggests inter-species or macro-evolution, but we've not observed this. So, evolution (on the broad, macro-scale anyway) remains a theory.

We have Jesus to support our claim in creationism yet no missing link to support your claim. I think theory is still the accurate word.

If you wanted to ask this just to piss people off, than I am truly sad for you.
