Mendelssohn's "Wedding March" and Wagner's "Bridal Chorus" from Lohengrin were the only pieces that our pastor actually forbade. One was written for a wedding of an animal and a nymph, and the other deals with deceit and sorcery. Other than that, the pre-processional music was mostly secular, with special songs picked out for our moms. During the service, which we had a divine service with communion, it was all from the hymnal.
I actually used the 'Trumpet Voluntary (The Prince of Denmark's March)', by Jeremiah Clarke for my processional.

Hi. I work in a Lutheran church as the secretary and have typed up many programs. Speak with your pastor to get these questions answered. If you have not done so already, meet with (or talk to) the organist to see about music.

I don't exactly know what you mean by "what order does everyone make their appearance." It is traditionally the groom/best man perhaps coming to the altar via a side door from the sacristy. Then the bridesmaids come down the aisle escorted by the groomsmen, then the flower girl/ring bearer, then the bride! It's the same as every other wedding (Lutheran or not!)

Your minister will tell you the order and will give you guidelines as to what music is appropriate. You can use any non-secular music (I had Pachabel's Canon in D, very pretty). Usually they like a separate song for the bride, but that isn't required.

Our minister entered our grandparents, then our parents, followed by our wedding party (youngest to oldest).

Our pastor said that he would help us plan the actual ceremony during our pre-marital sessions. We are Lutheran.
