you know you flirt and have fun before you go out, then you are official, but this always seems to be awkward at the begging. i have never had a boyfriend, but am 15, and i have observed it. how long until you start to feel comfortable with each other?

Well, being 15, it may be forever. Because I was 15 not too long ago, and relationships just never really mature at that age. They never get to that really good part.
I don't think there is a certain length of time for two people to be comfortable with each other. It would change for every person, depending on how open they are usually, and how comfortable they are with the person they are dating. Hopefully if two people really like each other, it wouldn't take long at all to get used to each other. It's just a bit weird at first maybe because you were friends and all of a sudden you are dating so you have all these new things the two of you can do and new responsibilities.

Usually when you get comfortable with the guy and know more about him, the awkwardness will go away. So, it really depends on when that happens before you get pass the awkward part.

When you decide to in your mind. Unfortunately, I have a really hard time with this, I get really nervous whenever I'm on a date or something, I'm only 16, but still, I get nervous. Some people don't ever go on an awkward date because they tell themselves in their mind that it won't be that way, but just fun and romantic. You've got to tell yourself not to get nervous!

depends on the people involved, sometimes you never get past it and the relationship ends
other times it just takes a date or two
important thing is to be yourself right from the beginning

hey i totally know how u feal i recently just went through the same thing. uhm for me it was sorta akward at first it seamd like there was nothing to really talk about and could think of anything to say but when we were friends i felt like i could say anything. so i just sorta told myself just act like ur just friends and it really helpd me.it took about 3-4 weeks to feal really confortable with him.. but i dont think there is really a time i think it sorta depends on the person and u have to decide for urself........... so i really hope this helps u and good luck and remember be yourself
