Not a JW, but I am convinced it is the truth.
Everything checks out, that's all.

Great Question!!! This is what I call the What IF Question...In other words if everyone in the world became a (Pick your religion) overnight...would the world look different or change...
1: Catholic..Well since 1/6th of the world already is probably not much...you would still have countries, wars and the like
2: Muslim: Again 1/6th and yes the world would change. Women would have fewer rights all those who disagreed would probably be executed. Youcan figure out what they'd do...there would still be countries and the such.
3: Protestant: 1/6th the world again(Non-catholic..including orthodox) Nope the world would look the same...

4: JW's if everyone became a JW overnight what would the world look like...1: First thing you'd notice there would be no countries...Just 1 planet...a brotherhood of man...2: All armies would disarm and destroy all weapons...There'd be no elections of officials.. Jesus Christ would be the leader and everyone would follow him.

I've always found it odd that during WW2 you had the Nazi's that hated the JW's ...Stalin Hated them...Americans hated Them...The Japaneese Hated them...English and French all for the same reason...they wouldn't take up arms and slaughter one another...But if you were Catholic you had no problem slaughtering fellow catholics, or if you were Luthern or whatever...The fact that they (JW's) never went to war, and treated each other with real compasion convinced me they were the only organization who was following Christ when he said..."you must love your neighbor as yourself"

The second big thing that convinced me...The way they handle their Money...NEVER a COLECTION PLATE!!!! NEVER!! You give what you can and no one keeps track or asks. So many churches seem like all they are is a fund raiser.
I hope that helps!

I'm not too sure "why" I believed in God back then...but when I was young (about 8 years old) I always had questions about Him. I wanted to know if He had a name, where he came from and so forth...this had always intrigued me. I never got an answer until I was about 19 years old. I learned the truth about God in the first book I read published by the Jehovah's Witnesses "You Can Live Forever on Earth in Paradise".

It was in that book that I learned that God has a personal name - Jehovah. After I learned that and read the entire book, I knew I had found the truth about God and wanted to learn more. So, it was really my curiousity that got me to want to know more about God...Jesus said to "keep seeking and you will find"...and sure enough I did. Now that I know the truth about Jehovah God I also learned that it is not enough to say that you believe in God...you also have to have actions back up your words.

In the Bible I learned that Jesus said that his true followers would preach and teach and make disciples. (Matthew 28:19,20). So I am proud to say that it was my choice to find out about God and now it's my responsibility to live up to the truths about God.

That first book I read convinced me that this was the truth that I was seeking for - I finally found out God had a personal name! I also was convinced mainly because I got to understand the Bible and was able to finally read it in a year and come to an accurate knowledge of Him.

It is soooo true, only God's spirit can make one fully understand the scriptures. Before I was in the dark and now I'm blessed with the light of God's Word!

The way the teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses lines up with Scripture, when one considers all of the Scriptures together.

For example, consider the information in the links below.

On the first link scroll down to the chart and you will see many of our beliefs outlined, along with the Scriptures upon which we base these. You are encouraged to read your own copy of the Bible along with this.

True worshipers are to be identified as belonging to "the congregation of the living God, a pillar and support of the truth." (1 Timothy 3:15)

The ones making up the congregation of God not only believe the truth of God's Word but also live in harmony with it and defend it, making it known throughout the earth.—Matthew 24:14; Romans 10:9-15.

Who but the Jehovah's Witnesses make it known to the world to worship the father?

"The hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshipers will worship the Father with spirit and truth, for, indeed, the Father is looking for suchlike ones to worship him."—John 4:23.

It would seem that both Jehovah's Witnesses and non-Witnesses have answered this question already.

The bible teaches that hell is not hot, that the soul is not immortal, that Almighty God has a personal name, that Jesus is not Almighty (or without beginning), that most humans will be resurrected as humans, that God's Messianic Kingdom will restore paradise to earth and end the suffering of humankind, and that each Christian has an obligation to preach.

Does any other religion teach even half of that?

I use to believe the lies people said about the J.W's. I was in a few other religions in my life. I couldn't stand the hypocrisy and the money loving ways of the clergy. I started studying in April 1993, I had lots of questions that they answer by using the bible. I was baptized in April 1996. No regrets! I had finally found the truth. All the lies were just that, lies! I thank Jehovah for not giving up on me, because J.W's knocked on my door a few times in my life and I was not interested. That was then. Praise Jah, me and my family are in the truth.

Everything. I grew up in the truth but didn't really do much for a couple like 3 or 4 years and then slapped myself and re-examined my self. But how my brothers and sisters are the best people ever and they all follow the Bible. Just everything.

Personal study after talking with Jehovah's Witnesses. Actually going into the Bible and finding the truth. I had help, but was reading and seeing the answers for myself. I knew then as I know now, no doubts, this is the Truth!

ALL (and I mean 101%) of my spiritual questions answered from the Bible- after years of hearing;

"It's a mystery of God"
"You cannot understand even if I explained"
"You ask things like a Jehovah's Witness!!!"

Boy, am I glad I met the Witnesses!
