Antony Flew, the British scholar admits that the latest biological research "has shown, by the almost unbelievable complexity of the arrangements which are needed to produce (life), that intelligence must have been involved." ..Will other Atheists follow?

For those of you who say you never heard of him, here is some info.
"the most famous atheist in the academic world over the last half-century, Professor Antony Flew of England's University of Reading, now accepts the existence of God" (Dallas Morning News)
"Professor Antony Flew, a prominent British philosopher who is considered the world's best-known atheist, has cited advancements in science as proof of the existence of God." (Insight On The News)
"British professor Antony Flew, for decades one of the world's leading philosophers of atheism, publicly announced that he now affirms the existence of a deity." (Dallas Morning News) "Now, in a remarkable reversal, Mr. Flew holds that the universe was brought into being by an infinite intelligence." (Dallas Morning News)
"This is comparable to Hugh Hefner announcing that he is becoming a celibate." (Insight On The News)
Although Flew, for the moment rejects Christianity, he gives his personal views in an interview:
"My one and only piece of relevant evidence [for an Aristotelian God] is the apparent impossibility of providing a naturalistic theory of the origin from DNA of the first reproducing species ... [In fact] the only reason which I have for beginning to think of believing in a First Cause god is the impossibility of providing a naturalistic account of the origin of the first reproducing organisms." (private interview with Antony Flew, Dec 2004)
It didn't make news, on the front or back pages of leading American newspapers, but Professor Antony Flew, a prominent British philosopher who is considered the world's best-known atheist, has cited advancements in science as proof of the existence of God. This is comparable to Hugh Hefner announcing that he is becoming a celibate.
At a symposium sponsored by the Institute for Metascientific Research, Flew said he has come to believe in God based on developments in DNA research. Flew, author of the book, Darwinian Evolution, declared, "What I think the DNA material has done is show that intelligence must have been involved in getting these extraordinarily diverse elements together. The enormous complexity by which the results were achieved look to me like the work of intelligence."
(Insight On The News December 21, 2004 )
"Last week, The Associated Press broke the news that the most famous atheist in the academic world over the last half-century, Professor Antony Flew of England's University of Reading, now accepts the existence of God.
Mr. Flew's best-known plaint for atheism, "Theology and Falsification," was delivered in 1950 to the Socratic Club, chaired by none other than C.S. Lewis. This paper went on to become the most widely reprinted philosophical publication of the last five decades and set the agenda for modern atheism.
Now, in a remarkable reversal, Mr. Flew holds that the universe was brought into being by an infinite intelligence.
"What I think the DNA material has done is show that intelligence must have been involved in getting these extraordinarily diverse elements together," he said. "The enormous complexity by which the results were achieved look to me like the work of intelligence."
(Dallas Morning News December 15, 2004)
And, if Dawkins had never written his book, the majority of you would never have heard of him either. Face it, this was one of your big shots, a heavy hitter, who simply said, evolution didn't happen, couldn't have happened.

Antony Flew was one of the most renowned atheists of the 20th century. Many rode his coat tails. I'm surprised at the small number who claim to have heard of him, but I'm not surprised at all that the revision of history is on our heels.
When the empirical evidence you demand is before your eyes you will find the death of the faith you are required to have, and there will be no way to reach what has been found.

If by using "historic certainty" you recommend that Jesus' existence replaced into documented someplace different than the Bible, then you definitely are incorrect. there is no longer a single historic record of him, it fairly is very unusual once you observe that he replaced into born on a similar time as the kin replaced into headed to sign up for the census (of which many documents do nonetheless exist). shouldn't there be a record of a minimum of one guy named Joseph from the residing house of David on those? possibly with a youthful bride and probably a son named Yeshua (the unquestionably call Jesus could have been called)? humorous how that may no longer been discovered.

Nah.
Intelligent Design is an opinion and always will be an opinion.
Besides, for the millionth time, who created the creator? That would be the most complex and complicated form of life or being of all.
Also:
1. Who is that guy?
2. I've never heard of Philosophy Now magazine.
3. What kind of "scholar" is he?
More info, peez.

It is irrelevant what Flew says or thinks—regardless of the fact that he is not a scientist—because anecdotal stories and events are not evidence; and truth is independent of individual personalities.

“I thought Atheists were up on their famous spokespersons...”
Well, again, you thought wrong.
Since Atheism is not a belief system, philosophy, or epistemology, they do follow any written dogma, they do not have any Big-Chief Atheist leaders, and they don’t elect or appoint any spokespeople.

And Flew is over 80, we all may get a little woozy in our old age.
Flew is a Philosopher and not a scientist..
I never voted for Flew to represent my views
Irreducible complexity is Idiocy and was thoroughly debunked by Hume over 200 years ago..
