Specifically....would applying the holy anointing oils from the old testament (which contained cannabis) be considered a legitimate religious sacrament today. Sacrament being a sacred rite.

somebody commented that First countries human beings are not even allowed to apply peyote...nicely, that only is erroneous. under the religious Freedom fix Act, interior of reach peoples can use peyote for sacramental applications legally. And, interior the final year or so, the perfect courtroom desperate that individuals of the Uniao de Vegetal, a Brazilian faith, can use the effective hallucinogenic drink, ayahuasca, for his or her religious rituals. it would look then that hashish for religious applications could be legal too, yet there are 2 common issues that distinguish it from the two former cases. the two ayahuasca and peyote are thoroughly too useful to ever grow to be prevalent for traditional, leisure use. the final public of customers purely consume those issues for ritual applications. although, the concern with marijuana is that, even between people who do use it sacramentally, it incredibly is extensively utilized recreationally at different cases. the government has curiously desperate that this distinction reward persevering with prohibition of marijuana use then for all motives, even religious. the different huge project for marijuana is that the government, traditionally, has had a special fixation on prohibiting this plant, a lot extra so than the different substance people consume. on an analogous time as the historic motives for this obsession are too long to communicate here, it sounds as though lifelike to assume that the placement isn't at risk of alter every time quickly.

In many Native American tribes the peace pipe would be smoked not with tobacco but with cannabis. The primary reason to do so would to end disputes among individuals in a tribe or intra-tribally. Did they offer it as a sacrament? Unless they were specifically asking "the great spirit" for spiritual guidance, then the answer would be no.

Rational and Truth. The Greeks struggled with that. Sometimes they work independent of each other. Like there is no rational financial reason to help some if you are broke. But as a citizen their is a rational reason because you are upholding the law of the land. By assisting you fellow country man therefor showing the world what a great country you live in. Or what great values you promote or what great value your country allows you to promote freely.

Marijuana. No because it was not givin to us to by God, for the purpose of following God so we could become more Holy like He is.

Spiritually, sure...Rastafari incorporate pot into their religious ceremonies.

Legally, in the United States at least, no...I happened to be reading about Rastafari a few days ago when I discovered several legal cases denying people the right to violate marijuana laws for religious reasons.

I don't think you can consider marijuana for anything but what it is , a drug. The native americans used it in religious ceremoneys and concidered it powerfull medicine. I wonder who thier drug supplier was? Or how much a "lid"?

If and when you're high it can be, of course. When I used to smoke weed, I could rationalize myself into anything, damn near.
