I'm reading a book by Andrew Fiala titled " What would Jesus REALLY Do?" He is a philosopher and ethics professor, for what it's worth.

It's an interesting book that gives the pro's and con's to Christianity.

There is one part that quotes Psalms 146:3, which states "Put not your trust in princes, nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help"

I makes me think about the Evangelicals that slept with Bush during the last two elections.

What do you think when you read this verse?

Excellent scripture! No human government can solve our problems. Only God's Kingdom will!

Beware of false teachers. 2 Peter 2:1, "But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction."

There are no con's to true Christianity. The only cons are those teachings of men that are cleverly disguised as the doctrines that Jesus Christ taught. But pure Christianity, undefiled by the philosophies of men like Andrew Fiala, is perfect, completely without error. You should follow the advice of Psalms 146:3 in regards to Andrew Fiala.

Princes and the Son of Man would refer to those individuals still caught in the 4 material illusions of existence. Basically, they love money and power more than justice and truth because they think money and power will ultimately benefit them more. To put your trust in someone who loves money more than truth and justic is obviously very foolish. George Bush is the epitomy of the Son of Man....I doubt he has a soul or conscience.

I think that we should listen to what God has to say. Also, we either had to choose John Kerry of Bush. So you have to weigh the odds of how he would do as a president. I know that most Americans hate Bush, but I think he's doing a better job than Kerry would, and yah...don't know if i make sense but yah...

Arabman .. I'm not so sure I would try that on some of these American woman, most of them would have you beat half to death before you even get your belt unloosed. You have to be careful as they would probably even starve your camel to death.

My vote is for the American women, 1 of them is smarter than 500 arabmen.. solongg

he is referring to men, actual sons of men.

because in the first two verses he is praising the Lord. and this was before Jesus came to earth and went around calling himself the son of man- He called Himself that because He knew He was the son of God and indulged in that name because God was now among men. also you can tell He was a student of daniel. then again how can God be a student? unless He becomes a man i guess.

Humans don't know how to put their trust in god and not men. We still have that prehistoric/ancient belief seeded into us that a leader is literately a god or goddess.

If your trust is anywhere other than in God, it is misplaced. We do however, need to try and put moral and ethical people in office. It's impossible to tell who you're really voting for.
