THe common answer "go see a doctor routine is old on this forum". They dont have all the answers obviously because they cant heal any diseases. All they do is prescribe and that makes you feel good until another issue arrises (I now cant sleep and feel kidney pains). Looking for other options.

Thanks for any assistance here.

Please consider EFT (www.emofree.com). It is easy, and it can be learned at home by yourself. It is just an accupressure technique, but it does do wonders. I had anxiety disorder so bad I was nearly housebound for 6 yrs and this cleared it right up. I am now a teacher of it and I would be happy to help you if you contact me. Also, check out youtube and look up EFT.

Not much info to go on. No sleep....cut all caffeine products and cigarettes and alcohol. Take a benadryl an hour before bedtim, go to two if one doesn't work. Make your bedroom cozy, warm enough without being hot. Buy an egg crate to make your bed soft if needed and a new pillow if yours is old and not comfy. Take a warm bath and use epsom salts. Read a book with a decent light near the bed so you can turn it off without getting up. don't watch tv in bed. Take advil at night if you have some back pain...it may not be kidney. Take three over the counter and take with something like milk or crackers. Don't eat late, it makes your digestive system work and keeps you awake. This is about all I can tell you....start relaxing earlier at night whenever possible and don't talk to people that have problems at night. Good luck. Miss Mary

You are right when you say that doctors don't have all the answers. They also make a misdiagnosis at times, but more often than not, it is always best to seek a doctor's help when able. You may have a urinary tract infection. Try drinking lots of cranberry juice and also taking cranberry pills. Every time you get thirsty...think cranberry. Cranberry is a holistic way of healing urinary tract infections and I have done this for myself and my children and it works. If in a few days you are not better, and especially if the pain has worsened or urinating becomes difficult or painful (sorry..but I have to say it) see your doctor! This is your kidneys and you don't want to end up on kidney dialysis...trust me on this. I know how horrible that is because my husband was on dialysis before he died. You needn't worry about this happening, so don't misunderstand what I am saying. You just need to take care of yourself and all will be fine. I sincerely hope you feel better soon!

Hello, You're far from alone in your sufferings. I advise you to find a psychiatrist who specializes in treating anxiety disorders. There are effective meds available today that can take away, say 75-80% of the anxiety. The rest you can then laugh at, by comparison. More importantly, the remaining 20% can be worked down much more comfortably & quickly. The key is finding a doc who knows anxiety. Less-experienced MDs will simply try tranquillizing you w/benzos & the like. Get well soon.

First of all, Bricktop, reported, you jerk.

Second, there are a lot of self help books out there that are actually pretty helpful. Try reading through some of them at Borders and see which one appeals to you for it's tone, etc, so you can get started right away with some sound advice.

I also HIGHLY recommend yoga as a stress reliever and tension reducer, it really does work! Good luck, hang in there and it'll get better.

I understand what you are going through I suffer from anxiety also. However, there is medication like Zoloft, lexapro that helps. This sounds like old advise but it works. During the night breathe deeply in and out and only concentrate on pleasant things. Count all your blessings. Try not to fight anxiety, the trick is to accept it and not fear it . Do see your doctor and discuss all your symptoms.

I suggest meditation practice. There's a free video of meditation instruction at the site below. This is a practice that I've been doing for 30 years as a Buddhist. Contact me if you have further questions.

maybe all doctors do is "prescribe another pill" but they can be HELD RESPONSIBLE if anything goes wrong. We here on Y!Answers are NOT doctors, and even if we were, we would never prescribe for anyone sight unseen and without medical history, examination, and tests
