No, we're far and away the most intelligent species on the planet. No other species can ponder abstract thoughts, let alone invent computers, create complex languages, etc. Hell, we're the only species that can ponder whether we're the pinnacle of everything. Cheetahs aren't more modest, they aren't even self aware! That's not arrogance, that's just the way it is.

Cheetahs aren't that stupid or petty, Jeff. That's what really puts us out of the running for pinnacle of the world creatures.
EDIT:
Frank, Jeff can be arrogant cause he's AWESOME. Cheetah or no. So pfffffffffffttttttt to you.

We are full of ourselves, but because of our capacities for thought and intelligence I can see why we all think that. As for animal religion, I think the only things they care about are basic needs - Food, Drink, Shelter, Reproduction for the purpose of continuation of the species.

As humans, we have the ability to reason. Not so with the animal kingdom. Therefore we need to know "why" and "how come," causing us to seek out a creator to explain the unknown.
On the other hand, our reasoning ability has put us at the top.

I guess we're specially created by God in His image, and when we were given a choice, a lot of us go the wrong way...
It's scary- the way it seems, it would have been better if God didn't give us a choice, wouldn't it? Everyone would go to heaven and be happy. But on the other hand, it's terrifying going through something you don't want to go through, being forced to live. Very terrifying. So God makes the better decisions, and I'm glad I try to make better decisions too.

God set us at the highest point of creation. We were intended to be the physical representation of him. So we wouldn't be arrogant. But, Because of the fall and the carnal state of man we rejected God and His Loving wisdom and chose to become prideful and arrogant. We want ourselves at the center as oppose to God and His peace and Love.
But if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth audibly. Christ will come to you. And you can make a change
http://home.swbell.net/cshann/index0.html
So now your question is asked of you. Will you humble your heart and accept Christ or become arrogant like those who you questioned therefore becoming one in the same with your question, therefore asking us a question about yourself.

It's just still a part of human pride, of something he thinks he possesses but is not....Well human must not be so arrogant because the world will continue to be it is, as well as the creation, even if there is no human...but human could not continue to exist without creation...so humans must bne ashamed of his being so arrogant...

Human nature. Otherwise, if you're so down on yourself, feed yourself to a shark. I'm sure they'll be grateful to you, and with much respect, of course.

You've nailed it. Folks LOVE to feel special... that's why it was heresy to suggest that the Earth was not the center of the Universe, in darker times.
