It may be a tick, Look it up online so you see what they look like and identify it, If it is a tick just pull it and medicate your dog. If is not a tick I dont want to chance a bad suggestion so I say: take him to the nearest pet co or pet smart and get a second opinion, most of the time you can get free advice if you know how to ask. Good luck

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

It is probably from a mosquito or more likely a flee, other small bugs cause the same effects, the dog may be allergic, but even if it swells a lot and itches, the dog will just scratch it off, you can try to get it off if you want, but if it is obvious your dog is in a lot of pain then don't

Don't take any chances and bring your dog to the vet. I speak from experiene. My Boxer had a tiny bump not even the size of a mosquito bite and I brought him to the Vet. They told me 99% chance it was nothing and it was my decision to have them remove it. Thank GOD I did. The vet called back and told me she was surprised to report it was a MAST CELL TUMOR and since I brought him in so ealry it was only in Level 1 Cancer and there's a high chance it won't return. Please take your preious dog to the Vet.

What color is it? This can help in determining what it is.
What breed? Some breeds, Schnauzers for example, are more prone to certain skin problems.
What happens when you squeeze it? Does the dog pull away, whimper or do nothing?
We need more information.

It could be a cyst or an emerging abscess. If you can, make a trip to the vets tomorrow or if they are closed, Monday - if, however, it gets bigger, red, painful or oozing, get him in as soon as possible. I agree with not pulling it off.

Most likely it is a benign skin tumor, but you need to have a vet do a biopsy of it to be sure, as there are types that are malignant.
Never attempt to remove it yourself!
