With Nausea don't give him food. Get him to vomit. Hopefully you have "Ipecac" in the house. You can buy it at any drug store. It makes everyone vomit. If not, put him on the floor over the toilet (seat up) and have him put his index and middle finger down his throat. It sould make him gag, and vomit. He'll feel so much better. He'll want to do that 2-4 times. I have other ways if you want to E-mail me.

Then a cup of hot peppermint or spearmint tea will settle his stomach.

Then a hot water bottle with a moist towel under it applied over the stomach.

When he gets hungry, applesauce and white rice. Chicken or beef broth next.

Good luck, my friend! I know he feels like death, but he will live!! I promise!! You're a good friend. :)

DON'T give him anything solid until his nausea subsides. Giving him solid food could induce vommiting. Also give him some sprite or ginger ale. This should help with the nausea and tummy ache. When he feels better give him dry toast, no milk products, no butter, and absolutely no caffeine(caffeine dehydrates . If he vommits let him drink something like gatorade or powerade. Not just water. When he feels better gradually let him go back to his regular diet.

Sounds like the flu. Lot's of liquids, no food for now, Lot's of sleep Ibuprofen for the pain or Tylenol. Some NyQuil for sleeping, that's what he needs. If he's dangerously high with fever, say 104-5 then take him to the ER.
No food, Lot's of water, and sleep. When he fells like he's hungry try some broth without anything.
If his throat is sore and red, cough drops like "Hacks" will soothe it.

Tell your friend to eat some crackers and drink some gingerale. Slowly. Take small sips of the gingerale and eat the crackers (or bread, that helps as well) a bit at a time.

Good luck :).

If he insists on eating (not a good idea usually for nausea) go with a ginger theme.

He probably shouldn't eat right away. His body needs fluids though - water, juice, tea. That is essential. Once he feels like he can hold down food, then get him some dry toast or saltines.
