I have traveled there many times and they act so rude! Why?

I'm Canadian, and I think the Canadian customs officers are ruder than the yanks border patrol are. It's like they are disappointed that they have to get off their butts and do some actual work now that you're there inconveniencing them... typical govt employees.
Only close to 9/11 was I ever disappointed with the yanks... and I guess it was understandable to take security seriously, but I had a couple of marines with automatic weapons pointed at me... didn't appreciate that one bit.

Ok dude, you have no idea what "rude" means.
1) My family, being Chinese, was once laughed at because of names that were translated by sound by an American officer.
2) The rudest people, that I've seen, is when going from Macau ==> Mainland China. The Chinese officers throw the passports at you when going in mainland china while Macau officers don't even look at you when exiting mainland China.
So if you think that's rude, go reconsider.

Because in the US Customs they treat people like animals !! They think they are the only country in the world and everyone wants to go there.
Therefore Canadian customs officers just want to make you feel at home

I have met rude AND nice customs officers, in BOTH the U.S and Canada. Frankly, I see no difference. People are people. You get what you get.

I think US officers are rude! Even my husband thinks so and he's American. The Canadian officers are more laid back, they don't ask too many questions. The American's don't believe a word you say!

Because Americans demand that our border officials be tougher. The US is all over Canada for allegedly allowing lowlife onto the Continent and being the weak link in the defense. SOOO, guess what? We toughen it up and scrutinize people entering a bit more, ESPECIALLY Americans, so they can see we are being diligent. We have been denying US criminals access to Canada left and right.
Don't you want to be secure? Do you want nice and insecure or rude and safe?

when i flew from Australia to Canada via the US i couldn't believe the difference between Canadian and US custom officers
i have never met more ruder and more arrogant people in my life as the US custom officers,yet upon arriving in Canada was treated warmly by the Canadian officers
BTW I'm not Canadian or American
so i don't know what problem you are having

cuz both places are so great we are always trying to be better and also the american and canadian border is the nicest in the world
