It has nothing to do with spiritualism or catholicism. It has to do with someone hooked by a tent preacher and blindly shoving their version of "something" down your throat. We see it hundreds of times a day on this forum. people spewing garbage some tent preacher brainwashed them with and they have no ability or enough intelligence to actually think it through or they would not have said anything so demented to you. Ignore brain dead people like that.

There are those who believe the Catholics follow man made laws and worship the Pope. They do not think we can be spiritual because they do not believe we follow Christ.

They are wrong. As a Catholic I know we are very spiritual and follow Christ our savior.

catholic bashing is pretty easy nowadays. i think people see it as over prescribed, following a lot of rules and traditions, in other words trying to control and quantify religion rather than focusing on the 'spirituality'. i think one definition of being a spiritual person would be to be quite unrestricted in your beliefs and in feeling them, whereas with catholicism its as if you are told exactly how to believe, how to worship. these are just impressions of the religion, im not saying its fact.

because many [wrongly] believe that Cathoics do not understand a born-again experience....they believe that cathoics pray to mary and saints, but do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ...they also believe that catholics accept the words of the Pope over the Bible itself....this is of course true in some cases [that some cathoics dont understand Born-again], but some protestants and evangelicals don't get it either....

I lived in Italy for nearly 5 years, and I attended a Catholic Church while there....and I knew Catholics who were truly Born-again!!...who serve Christ and pray to only him....

God Bless....

Well to me religious people get way too attached to the world of form, rules, and dogma, etc. While spiritual to me means tuning into more abstract energy, beyond the world of form. Religion relies on the material level too much.

There are many who don't understand Catholicism, have been misled and seek to further divisions in Christ's Church. They don't do it knowingly, they really believe they are following a Biblical teaching, but in the end they are doing Satan's work under the cover of a God-loving relationship.

What does this mean? It means that there are plenty of mean people out there who enjoy saying mean things just to hurt you and make themselves feel better.

"People running 'round loose in the world
Ain't got nothing better to do
Than make a meal of some bright-eyed kid
You need someone looking after you."

You can be spiritual regardless of your religion, whether you are spiritual or not just depends on what your idea of worship is and whether or not you do it.

Since she couldn't even explain what she meant, why are you asking us about it?
