LOL, beautiful logic! I am soooo stealing that!

BTW, L.C., Hitler served at the front as a private during WWI so he most probably was in a foxhole.

Just want to point out a fallacy by L.C. Hitler was in a foxhole. He served on the front line in WWI, was wounded in leg at the Somme in 1916 and was gassed and temporarily blinded in 1918. He was awarded both the Iron Cross Second Class and the Iron Cross First class. I'm not defending Hitler, I just like to get the facts right.

Hitler wasn't an atheist, I'm sure that theory spawned from religious people who didn't want to be affiliated with him. Although I'm pretty sure theres a theory that he received a lot of help from the pope at the time.

Murphy's Law :There is no such thing as an atheist in a foxhole...

This is not meant to be taken litterally, and Hitler wasn't an atheist, he was Christian. Read up on you're WW2 history, and he killed other Christians as well, just needed to point that out so it's clear I'm not attacking Christianity.

Doesn't mention bunkers, though! Anyway, plenty of atheists have fought in wars. I thought some communist countries had state atheism, and they still have armies, some of which must have been in foxholes at some point.

My husband was an atheist is a foxhole......
I dunno...not the best attempt at a humorous foiling an argument. I did still chuckle though

That statement was made by a protestant preacher, who never went to war. There have been many atheists in fox holes. they were the ones who grabbed the guns and shot back while the cowardly Christians were praying for help
