What I find even more ridiculous is how many so-called Christians can justify working on Sunday... the Sabbath... after their god specifically designated it a "rest"ing day.

Go figure.

The days of the week weren't even named in Bible times. If you read your Bible (you do have one?) you'll see that the days were based on, say, the first day of the week, etc. You won't find a reference to Saturday, Tuesday, etc. in the Scriptures.

Oddly enough, one of the first references to Sunday as a day of rest and worship came from Constantine, about AD 312. He made a proclamation that worship was to be held on the day of the sun. This isn't to say that anything changed, because according to Acts, believers had been worshipping on the first day of the week since Paul's time.

No, we don't worship the sun, or the moon, or anything else that has been created. But we do worship the Creator.

Another question?

This is true, it sounds as if you may be speaking of Horus the Sun god born (in tradition on 25th December) here's a link to a clip all about what I think that you're talking about:

i celebrate everyday that the lord has given me so many things but as orthodox priests believed that sunday was the last day of the week that is the reason for us having that as our lords day as in the creation on the 7th day god rested
