You don't enter in "best of show". You have to earn your way up to it. You enter in one of the "classes". When you win your class, which only has your breed in it, you go to winners, which is also just your breed, divided by sex. Males against males, females against females. The winner of each gets to compete for best of winners, and that one goes to best of breed, which can also be entered by dogs who are already champions of record. From there you get best of breed. The best of breed goes on to compete in the Group. The winner of each group goes to compete for best of show.

What you see on Animal Planet is only a very tiny piece of what goes on at a conformation show. If you'd like to see how a show rally works, go to www.infodog.com and find out when there will be an all breed show in your area. Then go attend. Frequently, by asking at the superintendent's desk, you can find somene who is willing to help you learn aobut the whole process. Go and enjoy. Hopefully you'll be competing some day.

In the US? Then merely enter a dog in any AKC sanctioned show. She will need to be selected Best of Breed first, win the Toy group and then she will be invited to be one of the seven dogs judged for Best in Show honors.

The Chihuahua standard, as published by the AKC, appears to be absolutely neutral with regard to color, no preferences and no disqualifications.

If your dog fits all of the other specifications of the standard extremely well and well represents the breed ideal, then your chances of winning a BIS rosette ought to equal just about anyone elses prospect.

Your dog has to be AKC registered. You enter your little girl into dog shows by class. The winners of each class go compete for Winners Dog and Winners *****. The Winners Dog and Winners ***** compete with champions for the Best of Breed. Each breed competes for their groups. There are seven groups according to AKC. The group winners compete for Best in Show.
So you have to make sure that your little girl is AKC registered. I don't think color on Chihuahua has any affect on her show results. You have to work your way up. You cannot just enter in best in show. Good luck!

Color won't get her anywhere - she needs great conformation to win.
Best in show is a far cry from beginning showing, first is best in breed, then best in group - start in local AKC sanctioned shows, work your way up.

Hard road, takes time, money, and lots of training for you and your dog - even if she is a decent example of her breed - don't even think there is a "rare blue" acceptable in chihuahuas.

Do some research on the breed before you even think about showing, or you will be laughed off the show circuit.

You have to enter dog shows. But your dog has to be registered with the AKC, CKC or the organization in your country. Only the breeder can register a dog, so if she isn't registered, then you are out of luck.
In a shoe, you need to win the breed, and group to get a change to win Best In Show.
