he's 13 and likes lifting weights for muscles in his arms. he lifts weights equally but one is always bigger than the other. why?

only a small percentage of the world's population is perfectly symmetrical. we all have muscles on the left and right sides of the body that vary in shape and dimensions.

First of all, lifting weights at 13 is a bit unhealthy. He needs time to develop naturally, then later on he can lift weights to boost his strength. A few curls every now and then is okay, but bench pressing for strength is excessive.

To answer your question, people's bodies are not perfectly symmetrical. Generally speaking, one arm will be longer or bigger or stronger than the other. The same goes for legs. Even people's faces aren't exactly vertically symmetrical; a mirror image is distinguishable from reality.
