SDAs (like me) and JWS are picked often picked on by mainstream chrsitians alot loke atheists are. Most SDAs like me don't think that atheists are lost because it's said that believing God doesn't exist doesn't mean He isn't there and such acknowledgement isn't relevent to salvation because even devils believe and tremble.

I think agnostics are more honest with themselves that they can't prove God doesn't exist. I'd just hope they don't fall for the false interpretations of God.

I am a Biblical Christian who most closely follows the Adventist beliefs. I love atheists too!. One of the reasons I go to the SDA church is because it is one of the most accepting group of people I have ever met. They love everyone and show that love. Since God is love.... I think that many SDA have God in them. :-) I want to become more like the people in my church so I can better resemble God. It is the first time that I have actually found a body of believers who practice what they preach.
Philosophicalme- I love agnostics too and I am sure the most members of the SDA church would too!
Kai ~AM~ - SDA's don't normally go door to door. :-) I think you are thinking JW's.

Great! Glad to see you identify to a denomination instead of a generic Christian. I used to be athiest. Didn't mean I wasn't looking though. I think most athiests don't belive bevause they haven't found the evidence. And too many Christians start out with athiests with Bible verses. Remember athiests not only do not believe in God they don't believe in the Bible as anything more than a 2000 year old Jewish myth. To get an athiest to believe try something else. Your own experience with God (not your upbringing and training) maybe the example you set? Most of all, don't try to instantly make them believe like you. A little at a time. You just might have an effect.

Well, I'm not an atheist, and I'm not an SDA or a JW either...but I think you're right on several counts:
1. Atheists are picked on a lot, and there's no reason for them to be.
2. JWs and SDA are ALSO picked on, and there's no reason for them to be, either.
That's one of the things I disagree with my fellow Christians on. Some of them tend to be ignorant, intolerant, and judgmental.
Just because we have some doctrinal differences doesn't make either of us any less of a Christian. Be blessed!

I'm an SDA too, and in my experience, most of us believe that atheists are lost (where did you hear otherwise???). The knowledge relevant to salvation is believing that Jesus died for our sins and accepting Him as Lord and Savior, but usually that involves believing in God, as Jesus is God's son.
Don't get me wrong, I like atheists too (as well as other people), but it would still be nice if they got saved. I've had friends and cousins and other family members who are atheist/ agonostic. It's was really sad imagining heaven without them.
Anyway, God bless you (^_^)

Well I may dislike the SDAs coming to my door, but I've gotta say that they are usually far more calm, collected, and thoughtful than the average Christians =)

Wow, you're kind of groovy. I normally don't feel this way towards Christians but I feel like I see the errors of my ways all of a sudden, like I haven't been devoting my life to some sort of Jewish Messiah like I should. I feel...what's this? The room is filling with a blinding white light...there's doves, how is this possible!?! It's Jesus, holy crap I haven't even vacuumed, I got to go!!!!!

Yeah well whatever.
Believing a god exists doesn't do much, except in your own minds.

You are comparing me to the devil? I don't think so. Your god is most certainly not there. My non-belief allows me the luxury of NOT trembling, thank you very much.
