BACK IN THE DAYS, PEOPLE THAT CAME TO THE USA WANTED TO COME HERE TO BETTER THEMSELVES, LEARN OUR CUSTOMS, LAWS, LANGUAGE. IT USED TO BE A PRIVLAGE TO BE ABLE TO COME HERE, A DREAM FOR NON US CITIZENS. AND IT WAS ALL DONE LEGALLY. AND NOW, WE HAVE PEOPLE WHO COME HERE LEGAL AND NOT LEGAL AND EXPECT FOR US TO CHANGE OUR CUSTOMS TO FIT THEIRS. LEARN THEIR LANGUAGE. AND IN SOME STATES, IT IS MANDATORY TO KNOW SPANISH TO HAVE A GOOD JOB. WE ARE EXPECTED TO CHANGE ALMOST EVERYTHING THE OUR FOREFATHERS BUSTED THEIR BUTTS FOR. JUST TO PLEASE IMMIGRANTS. WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON THIS MATTER?

It can take a long time to apply to come here legally. I have seen people who have waited years just to be considered. Many come here so they can provide a better life for their family,in which the person has to leave, and almost get killed coming over here. I have a friend who came over here from Mexico about a year ago and did not know a word of english. She graduated at the top of her class, received a full ride scholarship to a local college, and knows a lot of english and has accustomed herself to the customs. Mexicans are not the only ones coming here illegaly. It is all over the world. So why is it hard to learn another language, while more people from around the world come here to live a better life.

It is my opinion that immigration is out of control. When I married my husband in Germany where he was in the Army I had to apply for a green card and fill out all sorts of papers. They made darn sure I wasn't a communist or something. When I came here I had a pretty hard time understanding what people said even though I took English in school for 6 years. I had to pass a test about the constitution to get my citizenship. That's the way it should be. Law and Order. There's a difference between legal and illegal. I love this country.

lets enforce current laws . when an illegal Irishman or Mexican steps off the plane ( or over the fence ) they are given a date to appear in court . guess how many show up ? they must be DETAINED , brought to court , and if proven illegal ,deported . problem solved . they currently Don't detain them because bush allows the in for cheap labor for the evil corporate empire of America . for Bush , corporate profits count , you don't .

If they are here illegally, send them home. period. and if they are here legally, make them learn english, and pass an english test, before they are allowed to get a job.

Immigration laws did not even exists when our forefathers migrated here....those laws were created after migrants arrived to try to monopolize and control the land of milk and honey.
