Please no nasty remarks...we truly are in a crisis.....I would like to see some truly thought out soloutions that do not mention deportation. This situation is totally out of control...We do not have the manpower and economic funding to do mass deportations I say....No amnesty.....no path to citizenship......Implement work programs with 6 month visas renewable each year...This is essence would share the love in Mexico...... 6 months here and 6 months at home with another crew replacing the crew going back home... we would have a steady resource of human labor......It would cut the amount of our Mexican immigrants in 1/2 each time those crews are switched ........Request that employers that benefit from the workers labor implement health care programs for them which are government subsidized........not government funded that way the federal government who also benefits from them being here would share the burden with the employer who in essence has these people in modern day slavery

tlb Very good points. I like to debate.
Count #1: It is not being controlled now & apparently this is costing us lots as is
Count #2: We must secure "ALL" of our borders
Count #3. We already have "DOL" regulating wages make them do their jobs.
Count #4: Only the head of household is allowed whether Male or Female but their families must not be allowed to come (This greatly reduces the amount of American born children)
Count#5: 5 year restrictions from receiving a new visa.
Employers will be less likely to hire someone who does not have a valid work permit....why risk it when they have available labor who have permits.?

Count 6: Of course no basic social services as stated that should be provided for by the employer who benefits from them

AINE....Thanks I left that out they should most certainly have to pay taxes.....

Forgive my AINE for my opinion but I do not feel they should be afforded public or government assistance.

I kinda sorta like it......let me get back to you....

EDIT~~

Holes in your program......it turns out I don't like it so much.

1. Who could enforce such a flow of people, and how much would it cost?
2. You did not mention a securing our boarders
3. Wage structure....how much do they get paid and who regulates it?
4. Pregnant women and the babies they tend to have....child citizen or not?
5. What kind of punishment for overstay of 6 month visa
6. Would they be allowed any social services while here

EDIT~~ good me too

How would you deal with all the illegal aliens here now though? Send half of them back home for 6 months?

Both of the most effective solutions are simple. Arrest and imprison these people on work farms that produce something (that what is up to where the camp is located) and by them actually working to pay back society they would support their camp and create a marketable surplus which could be sold and re-introduced into our economy.

The second and simplest of all. Fine the employers massively and no I don't care if some of the business' fail. We auction them off to people who will do the job legitimately. Eliminate welfare. Either those who are too lazy to do more than take a handout will take a job that people claim no American will do or will end up in the same camp with illegals giving back to society that way.

Finally, bring manufacturing back to the US. The cost increase is worth the value increase and would help to restrengthen the dollar. This second option would force illegals to go elsewhere and eliminate our problem.

modern day slavery?

that is what they would love for you to believe. my son works at a printing company. the illegals there make almost 20 dollars an hour. not what i would call minimum wage. the thing that ticks me off is that they work, the wives work and they both claim benefits stating that they are not working and collect all kinds of social service benefits.
calling the authorities about the illegals does absolutely no good.
ask around, most of these people are making decent money and on top of the good money are supplementing with our tax dollars in benefits, medical, education etc.
I'm so sick of it i wish they would send them all home!!!
i am 60 years old with no health insurance and no energy assistance no food stamps. i live alone, and make less then 9 dollars an hour. i can not get health care from the government because i am not 65, no minor children, not pregnant and not disabled.
because they have no documents all they have to do is give a name and address. a martinez could be a sanchez, no one investigates before they start passing out the food stamps etc.!!!!!!!

I understand where you are coming from and what you are trying to say but..........

First of all this is all fine and well but all is already so mucked up. Getting any part of that legislation will take forever. OK so it is all passed. Then you have a group of people who are following the rules but what about the rest who still come illegally? So guy is here for 6 months, returns home, comes illegally for 5, leaves and comes for 6 more months. Nothing will have changed.

I say start fresh first. One national ID and employers have to call in to verify the information. Fines for employers would be tremendous. No bank accounts, license, mortgages, services or ANYTHING. People will leave on their own. A person does it legal or can't survive here.

THEN when that is in place we can talk about changing certain rules for coming to the US.

If we take away all incentives, jobs, housing, free health care, free schooling, instate tuition, the hope for amnesty, $, etc, we won't have to deport them. They will go back where they came from on their own. Something else that I would add would be if they are picked up by authorities they will be finger printed and never be allowed to start the legal process for coming here in the future.

I have a friend who worked for the state. She said that it was heart breaking for able bodied illegals to come in and claim all kinds of benefits (money, housing, food stamps, etc)and then elderly American citizen widows came in and couldn't get any help at all. There is something very wrong in rewarding criminal behavior. If we are going to spend our resources on anyone it should be on elderly Americans and not healthy young illegals.

Will our politicians ever come up with a real solution? Not until they decide to do what is best for our country instead of trying to come up with ways to buy the votes of potential amnesty recipients

Mass deportations are demanded by few, as well myself, but your solution is not practical. Those here illegally must come to terms with that we the citizens of the USA have the right to set our own immigration laws, not the illegals no matter how hard working or well intended. Your view that Mexicans would leave for 6 months then return is not workable. The illegally are not modern day slaves, they come on their own and can leave anytime they wish. I share the love premise, sorry

What you are talking about is dual citizenship. It may work. However they should be required to pay income tax to the United States on any income they earned here. Also they would only qualify for govt assistance while they are here. Once they return to Mexico they should not longer be our problem. The govt of Mexico should take care of them then. Also if they cross the border when they are suppose to be there and try to earn income they should be deported, and never allowed to return.

I've talked to many immigrants who have come here legally and they are disgusted ( and I don't blame them ) about these people just walking across the border and expecting all the benefits of a citizen. I suggest we send a bill for all social services to the native country of all illegal aliens applying for them, the best way to stop all this is to get these countries to do the right thing for their people.

Not a problem, increase the penalty for employers that hire illegals. They will have to go home once there are no jobs

I think that those who are here illegally screw up for those who choose the legal path. I dont think that we should reward them for breaking the law.. I also dont believe that if youre an illegal and you come here and have a kid, that your kid should be a US citizen. Sadly, if you really want to curb illegal immigration, you will have to go to a national ID card.. NO ID card.. No bank accounts, no car, no license, no rental no nothing.
