Its a reference to a jewish text. I think it's the mishnah? Is Ohalot the author?

Also, do you know when it was written?

M. would refer to Mesechta, tractate. It is part of the Mishna, a part that does not have Talmud on it one way to tell is the number reference does not refer to a folio. The number reference is Chapter 7, Mishna 6. Ohalot, literally "Tents", is the name of the tractate.
The Mishna was compiled in the early 2nd century by Rabbi Yehuda HaNasi ("the prince").

It's a Mishna scripture that is used to support abortion in Judaism. It is a poor interpretation of Exodus 21:22 which any scholar would agree condemns abortion.

No - that would be the section. It's a section in Talmud that deals with defilement through contact with a dead human or animal body, or through contact with one that is diseased.
