AHA, you are the mother and at 26 it's time for your daughter to use the laundrymat to do her clothes. You have to tell her that you think it's time to get her own washer or get a roll of quarters and move on. You are letting her do it mom!!

Tell her No.

I always ask my mother in law if I can use her machines and not assume it's okay on that particular day. I bring over detergent and dryer sheets for myself and I also buy detergent to donate some to her.

My mother in law sometimes complains about the cost and I offer to go to the laundromat. Also I encourage her to charge people per load to help with the cost of running the machines.

If I have a little bit for a very small load of laundry left, I offer to wash some clothes she may have that needs to be washed.

I'm 26 also and there is no reason why your daughter should be acting like a spoiled brat.

You could tell her to bring her own detergant because your low on supplies and are on a budget.
You could buy her a dollar store detergant and so when she comes over make sure that she uses that one rather then the one you use.
Tell her that if she wants to continue doing her wash at your place then she needs to respect if you have clothes in the washer and ask you to remove them or hang them up/put them in the dryer for you.
Also, ask her for some favors while she's over doing wash like to pick up after herself and possibly sweep, do dishes, basically anything to help you around the house.

Be out of detergent. hide it somewhere. When she is out say you did not have time nor much money to get it. She could run to the store and get some. Use what ever she leaves at your house. If she complains just let her know she uses your water and your machine and if she continues she needs to contribute to the water bill. Or just come out and tell her that money is tight and you could use some help with paying for detergient and water. If she is hurt and does not come back or decides to help you will be better off. she will get over being mad soon enough.

How rude!Tell her she needs to be more respect full of you and she should contribute to detergent , fabric softener . She should know better about not taking your clothes out when they're wet. If she can't follow these simple rules then she should not be allowed to use your washer and dryer .Good Luck!

You could tell her to go to laundry mat and do her own clothes, but that might cause ill feelings.

You could charge her for the use of your soap and machines when she comes over, she might get the hint eventually.

You could get her a washer and dryer for her place, but that wont teach her anything either.

You could have your locks changed to stop her from getting in your house, but that might not work either.

It might not matter what route you take, you run the risk of hurt feelings either way.

Don't allow her to wash anymore clothes at your house. If your laundry room has a door, put a lock on it. Or change the lock on the front door of your house. She doesn't live with you so she doesn't need a key.

First off...Your the mother .....stand up for yourself. Tell her to bring her own detergent and don't disrespect you or your place by throwing your laundry aside. My kids would be plenty mad...but they'd either get over it or start going to the Laundromat.
