My neck cracks a lot, ever since I got a whiplash injury a few years ago. When it's a particularly loud or intense crack, I can feel a pins-and-needles sensation down one or both of my arms and into my hands (like it's 'gone to sleep' and the nerves are just regaining sensation, except I've put no pressure on them). The tingling lasts for a few moments and then fades. Am I hitting a nerve or something when my neck cracks? (is that even possible?)

Sounds like you might have some nerve issues. Go see a actual physician, not a chiropractor. It can be a pinched nerve as well. I wouldn't take any chances because sometimes damage can occur to the nerves. Cervical compression can cause symptoms such as the ones your having as well.
Good luck and feel better.

I have the same issue. My chiropractor says that I might have a bulging disk in my neck, but I'll need an MRI to be sure.

It could be arthritis in your cervical spine from the whiplash. Go see a doctor.
