What someone says is their choice and their responsibility. I cannot force people to say what I want them to say or what I think they should say.
We have freedom of speech, right?

I would hope it was creative, otherwise, what's the point?
My deity has a sense of humor. He/She understands all languages and prayers. I frequently tell my God that He/She is a perverted *** with a warped sense of humor. Then I laugh at the situation. I tried to stifle a laugh at my father's funeral. There was a train, killing the pastor's sermon, as the train got closer...the pastor was yelling louder. I thought, "C'mon Dad, give me a whistle!" I told my husband, "If the whistle blows, I'm gonna laugh!" Just then, the whistle blew and the immediate family laughed so hard, we cried.
The Preacher was put out and said he'd never had people laugh at a funeral before. I told him he didn't know the deceased and it was my Dad's funeral, we could appreciate his humor. We laughed, the preacher disapproved and Dad got his funeral, his way.
What is blaspheming? If I call God an asshole he's gonna take offense and strike me down? God created the universe, what does he care if I call him names? What if I like him and affectionately call him an asshole? Who are you to dictate my relationship to God and put parameters around blasphemy.
I talk to my God, in my way. If He/She disapproves, I promise you, I'll be dealt with.

America is a free nation. That means you can say anything but fire in a movie theater. Blasphemy is not a crime. It may be a sin in the eyes of your church, but it really means nothing outside that church. If I were you I would worry about the real problems in the world and things that you can do to change those problems. Forget about Blasphemy, it is not worth the time it takes to argue with.

This happens every day.
I don't usually "hear" it, but I read it on the Internet including in the Yahoo Q & A religion section.
Sometimes I reply and sometimes I don't.

Let them. Perhaps they're angry and hurting. Let them express themselves and remind them they ARE loved in spite of all the bullshit going on around us these days. Sorry to have used profanity, but sometimes it just does the job so much better than pussy footing around. I too feel their pain.

I would have to say something directly to them because I would want to make sure that they understood the seriousness of what they were doing. I don't think I could let something like that go.

Don't let the evil influence infect you.
Cover your eyes with one hand and your ears with the other hand.
