what do i do with the benefit money?

i have been blessed w/ the greatest friends! they have been w/me through it all! My love, and father of my children passed away almost 2 months ago and they R having a benefit 4 my children. the problem that i'm having is that along w/ my 13,11, and 8yr old their dad has 2 18yr olds. 1 that lives w/ her boyfriend and 1 that still lives at home w/ her mother and step dad. when i had talked 2 their dads sister she said i should split the money up 5 ways. but, when i talked 2 my friends they where a little disapointed that they where doing all this work w/o the help of his family or the adult childrens family, and they think they R old enough 2 take care of themselfs, and that they had their dad all of their childhood, and he paid his child support. besides the fact that they both have a step father and my children only have me 2 finanicaly support them. And my friends said they have been doing this for the sake of my children. i love them and care. who should i upset friends or sister?

I feel they are doing this for you and the children that you support if they are giving you the money. Not for others that are doing well on there own. If they say they expect different then do as the ones that raised the money wishes. If not sure mention your intent and let them know as to what you did. with the money. I would use it to take care of your household and make sure to use it wisely. If you pay bills with it then make sure you conserve. If you buy groceries let the people know that you are thankful.

It would just seem logical that the people who are putting on the benefit would be the ones to specify who are the benefactors of their generousity. My opinion: go with what your friends say. Good luck to you.
