Your mom is probably tired and just wants silence so she can try to relax. Your dad sounds like he wants you to work hard and not repeat mistakes that you make. Make a mistake once, then learn from it and don't make the same mistake again. It sounds like he just wants you to be successful at things you do.
Parents are strict when they care about their kids and bother to take the time to try to guide them in the right direction. You're lucky they care.

Just look at the daily papers or watch the localnews with all the trouble with crimes involving children and youll understand. Its not easy raising kids nowadays with all the problems so the only hope parents have is to pray they instilled good values, morals, and judgement into their kids before one of these everyday challenges shows up at their doorstep but true some parents take it too far, but use the strictest means of discipline they know, but with good intentions, but still go overboard. Someday when you become a parent youll understand allof this. Someday youll leave home and al this will be over. Good luck and Merry Christmas

Parents are strict with their kids because they care. If your parents suddenly did not care what you did, then you need to worry.
If they tell you to be quieter, then be quieter with the dog.
Sometimes when people come home from work, they need some peace and quiet. Do they have that?
Parents make rules for the safety of their children. Be grateful you have loving parents. Or go outside to play with the dog.

Did you ever think that you might be disturbing the whole household by the noise you make ? And if you do something wrong, you do not deserve to be reprimanded ? Don't you think that there is a lot of selfishness being displayed here? If you get away with doing what you please then you have no consideration for other people, and that is being selfish. Apparently there is little discipline in your house. Maybe you need to grow up.

Try and be quieter. Let both know nicely to try and tell you when you are bothering to them to quit nicely before yelling that all the fussing and yelling bothers you. If you do not listen the first time then you could understand the yelling.

they are frustrated. they have anxiety. they need to be in control. before you came along the house was quiet. they get fed up with kids running around their home being annoying. they also may have their own personal problems....financial, alcohol, sex problems, work problems, neighbor or extended family or friend problems, health issues, etc. etc. and they take out their built up stress/anger at whatever will trigger them to burst. so the excessive noise/movement or naughtiness may do just that.

Whatever it is, be assured that they love u. U must understand that they are also stressed out from work and also doing household chores. It's not easy being a parent.
