Jesus did not specify.....he wasn't really talking about building your real house on a rock, he was teaching a parable. He meant that the wise man builds his house on the strong and steady rock of God, so to speak.

Crack sucks, it is for mentally challenged people who do not know there are better drugs out there for the money. But as for a rock for a Faith Foundation, Jesus Christ is the only way.

Yes, the rock is the never changing basis of the entire universe... the "Great I Am"... the light of Life. And as a child of God, everyone has that eternal resouce within themselves.
And thanks for quoting something from the Original Gospel. It's rather refreshing to see it.

As has been widely expressed by many here recently, that Jesus is referring to himself here. Only Jesus is the Rock. So you should build your house on Jesus, it's metaphorical.
