You have a digestive problem that is most likely a gall bladder issue. I suspect from your description that you are eating Low Fat, High Carb diet. What happens on this diet is your liver and gall bladder are in trouble. You can fix this by eating good fats and oils and eliminating the bad ones and by eating these fats in the right balance for your specific body.
Another problem may be the lack of stomach acid. This is very typical from eating the American Diet and taking drugs.
The pain you are having is indicative of the gall bladder issue. Doctors love to take these things out these days because they do not understand how the body works in regard to nutrition and this insanity of removing organs is ludicrous.
The best thing you can do is change your diet first and see if this doesn't fix the problem. This is the easiest thing for you to try. Stop ALL vegetable oils in your diet. These oils, except for Olive oil, make trans fats when heated even ever so slightly.
Take oils as follows: 60% monounsaturated fats (primarily from Olive Oil (extra virgin), 30% saturated fats from animals that feed on GRASS ONLY, not the Feed Lot Angus Beef sold in stores, 10% polyunsaturated fats ( omega 3's and omega 6's in a 1:1 balance)
Your diet needs about 30% fats, 30% carbs, and 40% proteins for you to be healthy.
Additionally, go to www.healthline.cc (not .com) and order the following:
Betaine HCL --- Take 2 to 4 of these after each meal
Activator --- Take 1 to 2 of these after each meal
Quantum Digest --- Take 1 to 2 of these DURING the meal
Probiotics --- Take 1 in the a.m. and 1 in the p.m.
Do the above and your health will most surely improve greatly.
good luck to you

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

There's not enough information to help you. You need to go to an MD and have him check you out. Your symptoms could be caused by many, many things.
